I found it posted here.

https://www.jpcycles.com/product/901-491/pathfinderled-h4-6000-lumens-led-bulb

But $70 USD and needing 2 for the IS, costs a lot.

I like LED lights, as a matter of fact have Rigid Industries lights mounted in 2 of my bikes.

But for the valkyrie, none. The I/S lights (got 55/65W bulbs) are one of the best I've seen in any bike and the fog lights (35W) work really well.

The reason to go LED would be to have more lumens with less heat? (i.e. in a standard)

For me it is also the obvious less amount of current draw on the wiring system and starter switch assembly, and the LED technology is just getting better and at times cheaper. I will get a switched/un-switched power hub eventually, but the LED headlight bulb will likely be one of my first farkles.

Are these H4 led bulbs basically plug and play into a tourer headlight? Seems like the ones I want .
Thanks in advance.

Which bulb is required? If it is an H4, then the H4 LED will be just a OEM replacement and work.

The one I fitted is reasonably plug and play. You have to take off the rubber boot, it will not fit back (well it wouldn't on mine). The LED bulb I fitted comes in two parts, the H4 mounting plate and the bulb itself. I fitted the mounting plate first and locked it in place with the lever catch. I then mounted the bulb in the H4 mounting this was a bayonet fit as I twisted it into place I had to feed the bulb heatsink fins over the mounting clip by pressing down on the clip and that was it. Route the wire and LED control box inside the headlight and that was it. Sounds more complicated than it was. I have to swap it back to a conventional bulb every time I take it for its technical inspection as LED lights are not homologated for our age of bike (crazy but the law here in Spain) so I do the swap fairly frequently and it takes less than 5 minutes each way including unscrewing the headlight shell.
