http://www.mysuncoast.com/news/caught-on-camera-sarasota-road-rage-incident/article_1548bf12-3c1e-11e8-a174-6f7e84b99e3a.htmlWe've all been there. Get cut off, somebody entered your moto space, yelled derogatory comments about you and/or your bike, whatever. Blood pressure goes through the roof, and now you want a piece of the offender however you can get it (maybe break his mirror?). In Florida, 1/2 the population is packing heat, so it's especially a bad move to do what this guy did. Guessing dude's got cracked ribs, road rash, and more. I never engage um / try to get as far away from the luny-tic driver as I can. Hope you guys consider doing the same.

That is just a textbook example of exactly what can happen by raging at a cage.
Deserve, has got nothing to do with it.
If you think it was bad enough, get the plate and a description of the driver, and make a police report.
Breath deeply grasshopper. Whatever happens to you.... it's happened enough you ought to be used to it by now. Or get a new hobby. Or move out in the boonies.
Raging at a cage on your bike (beside him), is like jumping out of your car at a police pullover, or poking the bear in the eye, or daring the town drunk to punch your face, or telling your wife she looks fat in those jeans. Just don't do it.
I will admit I have given the one finger salute and yelled a number of times before thinking, but well behind them. And then I never get next to them. And then I breath deeply and try to forget about them. Another scary episode could be just minutes away, and anger clouds the good judgment you always need when pursuing our great hobby.

Train, semi, bus, van, car, motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian. The smaller they get the more likely to lose in a collision.

What a dumbass. He's in the country illegally and he thought that hitting someone with his car was a good idea?

Don't deport him until he's made restitution and served his time for his crimes. Oh, and he pays for his room and board whilst incarcerated. ( I know, wishful thinking)

Grands dieux ! That's why I like to live and ride in Paris and area : cagers are really nice with bikes, I thank them several times a day when they pull aside in trafic jam to facilitate my way, they play with their electric mirror to make my way easier, they do care for bikers as much as they can. Of course, cagers vs cagers : apocalypse now !

I agree it's a bad idea, but if they're willing to take those risks, I'm willing to let 'em. The way I figure, 1 or the other of them is gonna learn a lesson.

Like nuclear weapons, I think those weighted whips are more about deterrence, than actual use.
I don't like things dangling off my bikes (tiny bells excepted). They can get caught on things.
You all heard the story about the guy in a fast car who could just not outrun this guy on a bike. He would pull away, but the bike would just come charging back up on him, time after time. Well, it turned out the biker's pants suspender was caught on the fast car's rear view mirror.
That may not be a true story.... but it's still instructive.
