when ya stand up on the pegs, it increases you wind resistance, thus offsetting the increase in propulsion.
Be careful about leaning on one cheek to let 'er rip... could throw ya sideways!  angel

I find that a very effective way to test how well your windscreen works. Just let one rip and see how far you can ride before the smell goes away.
