I have a 99 Tourer, and am installing an Interstate ECU.  What do my esteemed colleagues think of adding the ECT Mod also?

And I hope to see you all at Inzane in Roanoke, VA.

Thanks,

I did the carb springs and IS ECU or ICM on my bobber and the combination of those and the removal of a bunch of weight makes it pretty quick

Matt:  Just to be sure I understand: you suggest doing 3 separate things (1) Interstate ECU, (2) Interstate carb springs, and (3) the Engine Coolant Temperature Modification/aka ECT Mod?

I will order some of the IS carb springs right away, already have the IS ECU to swap out.  And I'm wondering if the ECT Mod is a good idea along with the IS ECU, or if they might fight against each other.

Thanks,

Rdkill,

Great looking Bobber!  I bet those pipes are seriously loud.

IS ECU/ICM plus springs makes sense.  Have you ever tried the ECT Mod?  That might be my next improvement.

They will work together,  you can put a switch in it so you can adjust advance. I believe someone had a plug and play set up for the ect. Using that you dont have to cut up wires. I have not used plug and play but have done a couple that I have soldered together. Search on site for plug and play I believe it had some good reviews
