Hi all....
I was finally able to get hold of Johnny’s Motel today…they were reaching out to us after getting back online just this week. They are closed at least until end of August so obviously all of our reservations are confirmed as cancelled, and they apologized to us for not being able to accommodate us or get back to us sooner. They are real nice folks who are going through a tough time, so maybe we can schedule another September meet-up there to help support them. Any of you Easterners coming through and need a place to stay, they have a sister motel in Cranbrook BC…the Lazy Bear Motel.
Only 17 more days until we meet in Merritt. Since we all have had way too much fun at these things over the years and decided last year to extend it by a day, we'll be adding a couple things for this year.
First off...we'll be handing out a few awards. Bring your best polish or bike detailing paraphernalia, as we we'll be having a Show 'n Shine on the Friday evening...Best Valkyrie and Best Non-Valkyrie will be the categories. There will also be a few other awards handed out 

Saturday evening will be our traditional campfire and gift exchange...remember to bring a gift in the $10 - $20 range in order to participate. Also, remember to bring plenty of stories, lies, and other BS to be told around the campfire...I wonder if our "official" Valhalla beverage will make an appearance  Grin

Gordon and I are working on several riding route options for the weekend, which we'll try to have printed out for everyone to receive when they check in. There are some good all day riding options out of Merritt as well as some shorter ones, so everyone can choose which to do on the Friday or Saturday. We’re hoping for great weather, but I encourage everyone to bring their raingear…if we all pack it along with our bike covers, chances are it will be for not…if we don’t pack it, well……..

There is a good restaurant on site with large covered and uncovered decks which should satisfy most meal requirements, but we'll also try to have other options sourced out close by for you as well. Breakfast is include with your room rate, and will be served buffet style in the restaurant each morning. We’ll be just a short few minutes out of the downtown core, so other restaurants, pubs, liquor stores, etc. will be close by.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Merritt June 21  cooldude cooldude

Thanks for handling cancelling the rooms at Johnny’s.

Not sure if I’ll make it all the way to Cranbrook on my first day, but I’ll stay at the Lazy Bear if I do.

Excited to see you guys and your non-straight roads again.  cooldude
