Hi All,

So as the subject says, all my turn signals are working properly except for my front right which is not coming on.

The turn signal indicator, however, blinks rapidly when I select right turn. Blinks normally when I select left turn.

Is this a signal of a burnt out bulb or something wrong in the bucket?

I am assuming Honda engineered a message into that fast blink...

Burnt out or loose bulb.  Only one bulb working does not provide enough resistance for he electro-mechanical flasher to work normally.  Same thing will happen in a car.

Hi have you had the bulbs out lately, sometimes if you put them back in the wrong way around they will flash quickly as they get the wrong input as they have two terminals. just a thought.

It was fine up until that day and I hadn't messed with it in over a year. If this points to a bulb issue I will go ahead and undo the assembly and check and/or replace the bulb. Thanks folks!

Could be front or back on that side, but easy to check.  Put the signal on and then walk around the bike and look.  One won't be flashing.

And easy to get to.  The lenses come off.  Either two screws through the front of the lens, or one screw on the bottom side of the lens, depending on year.

Pulled the bulb which wasn't working. Filament looks fine and I can't hear anything clinking inside when i shake it...

Did you try twisting and pushing it back in the socket to see if it works? Last night, my brake light wasn't working, so I pushed/twisted it back into the socket, and then the brake light started working again. It had manage to loosen itself. Oddly not enuff to affect the running light (low-filament) though. You didn't mention, but if your running light was also out in your right-front signal, the socket might be defective. Take the good bulb from the Left-front signal and plug it into the Right-front signal. Also, plug the original Right-front bulb into the Left-front socket as a double test.

Swap it with the working bulb from the other side or replace with a a known good bulb?  Put non-working bulb in the other side that is working?

Did all the troubleshooting you suggested. Finally pulled the bucket and sure enough it was a loose wire; the connector was seated fine but the crimping must be coming loose. I'll have to try and find that kind of connector at Radio Shack. Or the Source or whatever they're calling it these days lol.

Thanks for your help everyone, I jiggled the wire, added some electrical tape, and positioned the flexible bracket to take the strain off of the wire. It works now. No replacement necessary.

I believe Honda uses a 3.5mm blade. Never did find them local. Below is 2 online companies that have them.

This one is also the link for a solenoid repair connection, other wise the GW Honda one is fine too.
