Author Topic: Leaking Intake at Base  (Read 823 times)

OK, Looking her over today I noticed i am getting a samll leak on Middle Carburetor on port side at base. With 68K miles on this 98 time to remove and replace O rings. Can anyone give me suggested source? And part numbers? Assume all of them are the same design and part # TIA

Thanks Dusty, I had already founf this discussion right after I posted, Got the new ones on order for @$7
Does not look like a big job, just loosen up the 2 bolts and the top screw and just push it up and pull out ther old one and place in a new one.

it's important to see the new o-ring stays in place while re-installing it.  I use a little grease to hold it in place.  I also pull each intake off completely to do so.

Yes ordered a package of 20 Viton, just have 1 leaking but it is just a matter of time on others so will do them all. Already replaced shifter seal as well, so looks like 20 years is all we get on these types of wear items, but that is pretty good IMO.
