I don't know if Trump is smart or stupid. If he is stupid he is smart enough to surround himself with people that get him where he wants to be (millionaire, president). Maybe the tweets get people so crazy upset, all they do is react to the tweets. Meanwhile other actions go un-noticed. As mentioned, it has got things moving. I am not saying the end justifies the means. They are criminals having broken the law. They brought the children into the situation to use as shields from deportation.

If an American citizen robs a 7-11 and he goes to jail, his kids don't go to jail with him. If there are no family members around to take custody, they go into the foster system. But that's another can of worms.

Ron, this has been thrashed to death in other posts on this forum.

The same pot stirrers are quick to jump in. (Not you).

Typical bs

Savago and Meat say Obama admin was not doing what Trump is doing when the Obama actually started it. Fact

All democrats are in lockstep and may not say it but will bend personal wishes to call ICE Nazis and need to be abolished.

I cant wait till Hillary and the rest of the crew gets indited on corruption charges. That is what this is all about the dems and open boarders and deep state loosing ground, alot of it.

While Trump may not seem perfect in his ways, those very same ways have given results that other presidents NEVER got. Trump kept his campaign promises that in my book goes a long way.

IF Trump had not been president NONE of this would have come out and we would have had the most corrupt presidency in history. So to Trump I am grateful, if for nothing else for that.

Meat voted for Hillary and we are wondering why we have a different political opinion. I guess Savago may have also, with the corruption coming out something that many saw before the election, isn't anyone that voted for Hillary suspect?

While respect of someones voting privileges are never in question the judgement and for site that went into making those decisions is. We see the senate investigations into the Obama, Rice, Lynch, Comey, Rod Rosenstien concluding that there is a real problem.

We have seen the Trump Russia investigation fall flat and actually find the collusion is from the Dems and Hillary. Yet we have them still holding on to the lie. Come on really, I mean really?

Most saw this BEFORE the elections so why is anyone surprised at the reactions now?

“Previous administrations used family detention facilities, allowing the whole family to stay together while awaiting their deportation case in immigration court, or alternatives to detention, which required families to be tracked but released from custody to await their court date,” Brown and her co-author, Tim O’Shea, wrote in an explainer piece for the Bipartisan Policy Center’s website. “Some children may have been separated from the adults they entered with, in cases where the family relationship could not be established, child trafficking was suspected, or there were not sufficient family detention facilities available. … However, the zero-tolerance policy is the first time that a policy resulting in separation is being applied across the board.”

Jeh Johnson, DHS secretary under the Obama administration, told NPR earlier this month that he couldn’t say that family separations “never happened” during his tenure. “There may have been some exigent situation, some emergency. There may have been some doubt about whether the adult accompanying the child was in fact the parent of the child. I can’t say it never happened but not as a matter of policy or practice. It’s not something that I could ask our Border Patrol or our immigration enforcement personnel to do,” Johnson said.

Under Obama

I think I get the biggest solace in the fact that before the election the news media laughed at Trump. The left laughed at Trump. The Trump supporters knew better and voted conscience, so who do you think we should listen to NOW?

What would Democrats be afraid of

Really good lays out the effort to stop a presidential candidate from being elected and then once elected trying to impeach him. Gives a complete break down and even time line.

Some background information that is interesting, it puts some insight into the change that the Obama administration did and how and by who. It also says how corruption in government is possible, now the question how deep does it go?

Any loony telling to abolish ICE is either misinformed or are just looking for free press. That means we are talking about a marginal small percentage of the people that don't support Trump (moderate and left-ish population).

I don't like political posts, and very rarely reply. However, I am a little confused on this one. In 2020 I have the have the new drivers license that can be used as a passport to get in and out of the United States. However, some want to disband ice so that our southern borders are going to be able to have people going in and out freely? I heard it a long time ago, some people just like to watch the world burn! What the hell is going on with this country?

Look where I am from. I come from the land of Democrats. I have to admit I have lost a great amount of respect for the Democratic party today. It's horrible. From what I've read, I have to agree a lot with Oss when it comes to political party changes. I don't believe I've changed too much, but I believe the party has changed tremendously!

Analogy to the human body

Our skin, our biggest organ or body system, protects us from harm without and keeps us from bleeding out

Our white blood cells are OUR I.C.E. protecting us from identifiable harm within

We can not live without both. and I think all law enforcement should not be prevented from assisting by their local asshat politicians. Federal funding should immediately be lost if some governor or mayor tries to commit treason by sanctuary city or state. That money go to dedicated medicaid or social security fund for as long as the lawlessness exists by decree of the mayor or governor.  Jess am I mistaken or does not the executive branch still have that power to block money allocated by congress?

Do we need millions of ICE agents, probably not, but do we need them now, you betya

We need a certain place where these people can go that is not in the US or where congress agrees they are here but not here for citizenship birth purposes, before they come here legally.  Everyone else if you are caught you are in deep kaka.

A camp where illegals go is not a concentration camp! Those people were not ripped from their homes by us and are not waiting to be gassed or shot by the USA. That is an insult to every surviving wwII veteran and all surviving victims of the holocaust. Anyone who says so know that those are fighting words to this american

We need ICE, we need a system of getting people thru the system as fast as easypass and yeah we need national voter ID that doubles as motor vehicle license  and how about gang members here illegally caught commiting a violent crime get free one way ticket to Guantanamo and after sentence up let them walk to Cuba thru the gate. Not our problem then

The news media is now the propaganda media that is part of the problem.

The protests are not as big as they say, the concerns are not as many as they would say and the people are mostly in agreement about issues. Like the election they spin the thing way off course from reality, this is what fake news is really about.

If you really start talking to people you will find most are for the most part in agreement and not with the far left.

The Sheriff in our county last year wanted to have people who pick up checks at the local Department of Social Services (DSS), to be checked for outstanding warrants. Needless to say, he was lambasted so bad, with phone calls and protests, that the deputies were told to stand down. Now why should a person who is a deadbeat dad, or a drug dealer, or anything else be allowed to receive checks without being scrutinized? I want people in need to receive benetfits. i just don't want people with warrants to receive them! Where is sanity and common sense?

You would have to ask the 60 million or so Hilliary voters. I’m not sure anyone here can give a logical explanation.

Maybe it's time to outlaw all the personal congressional protection details and let them carry their own weapons.

Heh, funny to see the pendulum coming back a bit in Germany... After welcoming 100's of thousands of migrants with open arms, in a last minute bid to save her hide Angela Merkel has agreed to open... camps.... in Germany... to detain migrants.

The Nazi hyperbole will be going up to 11 shortly, I'm sure!

I don't know if Trump is smart or stupid.

According to the democrats, he's a moronic genius.  They want it both ways so they can blame him for everything while still tring to make him look foolish.  They did the same to GW Bush, remember.  He was a moron, stupid, idiot, but he was able to fool the whole world including 500+ people on congress and heads of state around the world to got to war against Iraq.  That is sooooome kind of idiot!

So now they're doing the same, but much worse to Trump.  He's a moron, an idiot, stupid, but able to beat 17 opponents and then finish off Hillary.  But he's sooooo stupid, right?   crazy2

On Maher's show Friday, Ben Shapiro asked Maher to pick one.  Is he stupid or smart?  So stupid, yet he colluded with a foreign nation to overthrow an election in the greatest country on the face of the earth (oh wait, sorry, they don't feel this way, Republicans do).  Maher was a bit taken aback by Shapiro's assertion to pick one.  A funny second or two that I picked up on.

Nope, I disagree.  The left will make excuses why Germany HAD to do this and that is was in the BEST INTEREST for the refugees.

The left keeps comparing us to the European nations and demanding we be more like them.  The left has taken sides with the nations who have been cheating US citizens out of hard earned income tax dollars.  The left has taken sides with other nation who exploit trade deals.  The left laments that those poor ole' nations abroad can't count on us any longer.  NO WAY will they now turn on THEM.

And you watch, somehow the refugee crisis WILL be Trump's fault even though the entire world knows damn well it was completely Obama's fault because of his line in the sand, leading from behind debacle.  Obama's and Clinton's foreign policy really screwed EVERYONE, especially the 4 in Benghazi.

Snicker all you want.  Trump hasn't done anything even remotely close to destabilizing a country and causing a refugee crisis across Europe and Central America.  His predecessors and colleagues in Europe are to thank for that, he's just dealing it all because he knows someone HAS to.
