Just when we thought hurricane season was over......lol.......shes a CAT 1 right now, but supposed to weaken a bit before landfall right in our backyard.....anything you want me to ask her when she pops in?  Grin The only bad part is we will be on the east side of the eye wall right where tornadoes happen.  But we should be good, theres no mobile homes near us!   Undecided

Good luck to all those in her path.  Thankfully, she's supposed to be weakening... let's hope she does!!!!!!

Being from Baton Rouge, and 13 years in Lafayette... I know all about them twisty storms!!!

Looks like I'm far west of it, so the most I'll get is a cool breeze and some light rain all day.  Good luck to all those who are much more close than I am.  And especially to those on the East side of the eye.

well if you leave the bike outside it will probably get a good washing.

Just soap it up a bit before the storm hits too heavy

Hope it just ends up a big ole rain event

Startin to feel the outer wind bands.......supposed to come on shore around 0300 tomorrow morning.  I bet we dont even get 40mph winds.  But, hey Ill take these small ones any day, they count.......only so many will hit us, and this is a nice one to have on the back porch compared to what these things can be like.

Hey Jeff, you know ya got a place high and dry with us if she gets too rough. Thankfully she's dying down a good bit. We've gotten very little rain here. See ya later. Oh yeah, if Liberty wants me to look at the bike at Brewton, wanna meet me half way to go take a look? He's off work till Friday.

I'm in Fort Walton Beach...across the street from Cinco Bayou.  The water's been very high since early this morning, but it doesn't seem to be getting any higher.  So far, it's just rained all day.....nothing special.

Actually took the Valk out this morning for a short ride to the video store and the gas station before all the rain started.  It was kinda nice....only a couple of other bikes on the road then.

I don't really expect much from this one.

Joe.....

Cantore is about  35 miles to the west of here.  He's was on Pensacola beach most of this morning practicing his yelling into the microphone bit.   Cheesy

There's a bar/pizza joint here (on the Island) called Helen Back.  They sell t-shirts with Jim Cantore on it with a big universal 'no' symbol covering Cantore.

He's not too welcome here in these parts.

Ya, after the storm goes by........the after the storm weather is always great for riding......and after they clear the roads, this one is going to be messy in the Brewton area tomorrow and probably Wednesday.......so maybe Thur or Fri, is that what you was thinking?

Rained here from noon yesterday till sometime after 4 a.m.  Never got real hard, just a steady, soaking rain.  Wind started kicking last night and still is.  Just checked Channel 5 out of Mobile and Ida's eye is still 25 miles south of Mobile and from the look of the projected path by 1 p.m. it will be at the north end of Mobile Bay then curve around to come visit you tomorrow.

Chris, I got a buddy who is a T.I. at Keesler.  I'm sure he would be happy to come over and help you out with your directional issues.

Yep, we were called out about 6:30 for a car in the ditch. Just a light rain though.

We are getting some needed rain from the remnants of Ida right now. Looks as though it will rain most of the night. It was 86 degrees today and looked dark & nasty to the west most of the afternoon.
Glad y'all north Gulfcoasters are doin' well!  cooldude
