Upper Shock bushing thought!!

I was wondering since reading some recent posts about the upper bushings on our Valks. The VTX had come out with a bearing on the upper eye and well I was wondering since the shock takes the shock so to speak LOL what would be the possibilty and I know everything is persay possible with money.

But why could you not machine out the top eye in the shock and fit a bearing for the upper end and grease it everyonce and while and have it last this only pertains to the top since the bottom is not a problem. Pros and Cons from the experts so to speak let me know why not..

I am for sure going to reseach this a little more and let you know what I find..

Actually the lower shock bushing on that shock is a newer nylon (sorta green in color) and will work on the upper and lower Valk (or VTX) shocks that use the rubber.  This is a newer harder neoprene or nylon type material..... I replaced my Valk bushings and a set of worn out Gary's bushings with those, and works well so far.   Very inexpensive compared to the original black rubber ones....

Honda new green bushing no. 52489-HN0-671  (will fit VTX and Valkyrie).  Much better than old stock rubber.
