if you run a current through the metal this should reduce the galvanic action of dissimilar metal corrosion not increase it.

Salt in the air is your enemy as is salt spray.  Aluminium and salt are not friendly in any way.  Thats the maiin reason the forks are coated from the factory.

do u park it near a septic tank?  hydrogen sulfide gas the rotten egg smell is highly corrosive to metals.

I live about 2 miles from the ocean, but I rarely am on beach side. Bike is always garaged and keep clean. If I do ride the beachside I always clean up when I get home. I’ve always lived within 5 miles of the beach and have had bikes for over 40 years and never have seen this before. No septic around or anything I can smell as sulfur. I have started to notice this starting on a few other Valkyries , but not as bad. Thinking of powder coating or maybe a chrome wrap. I love chrome.
