I figure this is better than a political post...

I named my girl "Scapegoat"... I always blame her for being late! not that she won't get me there fast enough, just cuz she always wants to stay out and play longer!

After I'd had my bike for a few months, and a few months worth of eBay deliveries had
passed through the house, my wife named my bike "Sal"....

"Blue Velvet" or just Velvet for short because on the 600 mile ride home from the purchase she impressed me with how smoothly she ran.

Rumblebee, because of the 2bros 6x6 pipes on it when I bought it.  It's less rumbly now with stock pipes, but I'm doing a glasspack mod this winter.

Valkyrie.....easy to remember cause it's printed on the bike(s).

The term of endearment is fatgirl or fatlady.

When I get the inevitable attenion from Hog riders to the bike and the airbrushed firebreathing blue dragons painted on the bags, I tell them Valks are universally nicknamed the Dragon and on occassion, the HarleyKiller.  Cool

I bought my Valk in June 07, and spent the next 9 or 10 months trying to think of a name off and on.  Kept playing around with ideas dealing with Dragon's Fire because of the colors.  Then one Saturday while riding to my 1st VRCC ride with the MS Chapter, it would happen to be the MS/AL Valhalla Voyage Turnover, I was cruising on I-10 in Biloxi.  Had the J&M radio kicking when a Metallica song came on.  There's a verse that goes, "Dream of wars, Dream of liars, Dream of Dragon's Fire and of things that will bite."  I named my Valk Sandman at that moment.  He has two colors of Dragon's Fire and will bite your assets if you don't respect him.  The name of the song?  Enter Sandman, of course.   Grin
