Made it home from Joseph... a straight 10.5 hour run, still filled up from the Effie chicken burger yesterday so no need to stop for anything other than a  drink and protein bar. Too beat to clean all the muck off the bike from riding on that soggy dirt road to and from our cabin and navigating the hillclimb that was our driveway, so that will wait until the morning.
Many thanks to our new friends from Idaho for inviting us to their Joseph meetup... what a great group and what a fantastic time cooldude A ride report and photos will follow in the coming days... hopefully everyone will add their photos and stories... (LOTS) of stories to tell from this one.  Smiley

I was home before noon Sunday.  cooldude Smooth sailing, solo, since my fellow Spokanites were otherwise occupied. . . One of those stories to tell. . .

What a great 4 day weekend. Thank you for inviting us all to join you, Boise crew.

The Effie Burger was fantastic!! Like you said it took a day to get hungry again.  My next meal after that was McDonalds at 11am Sunday. Nearly 24 hours since the Effie.

I am looking forward to the next one.

Our crew, Raymond, Jim, Dave, Gary, Shawn and I arrived home around 3:30 Sunday afternoon. Dave wasn’t feeling great after trying out his new Valkyrie dismount technique and twisting his leg. Alieve wasn’t touching the pain so rather than take backroads we hit the superslab. Still had a wonderful ride home and it was nice to relax.
Everyone talked about what a great new group of friends we’ve made and how much we enjoyed the trip. Effie’s, Spiral road and the rattlesnake highway were highlights for me. Loved Ken’s wine and the happy hour the last evening with everyone in attendence. Just plain old good times with good folks.
We definitely want to do it again around the same time next year. There is some talk of extending it a day so we can include other activities, which could include the pedal rail ride from Joseph to Enterprise and back, the aerial tram, or even possibly just being totally lazy and relaxing for a day. At any rate, we’ll do it again and look forward to seeing you all at Valhalla!
Oh, I will make a video and try to include photos from everyone. Please send your best to me at gregorycremer@gmail.com if you would like to contribute.
Thanks everyone!

Hopped on a plane for a week long work trip day after I got back, now heading up North to spend Thanksgiving weekend with our daughter and son in law, so been pretty busy. As soon as I get some time and get "inspired" I will plunk myself down in front of the computer and cobble something together. Hopefully others will add their photos to it, as my ace photographer was not along for this ride.
