Rocky Mountain High !

Thornton, Colorado

« on: November 15, 2009, 04:00:47 AM »

Yesterday I went to a Swap Meet & Bike Show in Greeley, Colorado. It was a 99.99% Harley orientated event but was pretty cool.
I have been looking for some Harley trim that says, "CLASSIC." for my front fender. I saw everything they have but not that. I had a 1988 Harley ElectraGlide Classic in 1988 & it had fender trim that reflected that. But it was all joined together. I am just looking for the word, "CLASSIC." I did find a welder there that does Plasma cutting & layed out what I want on paper & he said he can cut it out for me in Stainless Steel about one inch high & about six inches long. He is going to call me next week when he has all the art work done. Coca Cola cans have the word Classic written on them in script & I told him to do it up like that. Time will tell. There was also a vendor there that makes custom motorcycle covers & he had some really nice looking half covers & we are going to meet next week so I can show him my bike. He said he has made covers for Valkyries before. He can make them Yellow & Black for me to match the Valk's colors. There were some Kewel Motorcycles there too & there was a 1947 Indian Chief that I voted for number one. There were new bikes & old bikes & the old ones looked much better than the new ones...to me anyway. I was a teenager in the 50's so I am more partial to those bikes than the newer ones. Nostalgia, don't ya know?? Anyway it was a nice day & I went early because the weather report showed some good snow coming in. It was snowing when I left there but lightly. Flurries. I woke up this morning to see it had snowed during the night about a foot deep...maybe a little more. It is supposed to snow again today but only about 5 inches or so. That time of year I reckon. Suppose to be sunny & warm, in the 40's all next week. Well, I gotta go make some coffee now so check ya L8R. Ride safe always.  IBA 1990 tommy t  **** Hey Go Go Bombshell, Baby Doll, Little Honda Red Rebel Rider. ****
