I kept hoping to find a larger rear rack that would be useful but finally gave up.

I made this from some 1/4 aluminum plates that my brother got from some construction demo. They came with the slots. I actually used the small OEM rack as a guide to get the correct angles. The base is the size of a Saddleman bag that I strap to it. Worked out better than I had thought it would. It's just brushed with a wire wheel. I'll probably clear coat it at some point as I like the look.

No welding- just bolts. Cut it to shape with a jigsaw.

Looks good. Nice job lining everything up. The only thing I would do is bend the end up. From the last line of slots maybe a 5-10 degree. Give it a little flair. You could polish up like chrome also.  cooldude
