Well I finally finished upgrading the front lights of my IS. Now I have 2 LEDs for my headlights, and 2 LEDs in my pods. What an amazing difference, even over Silverstars.
I'll try to post pics once I get the chance

When you take those pics, take some from the rider's position; maybe one against a nearly white wall, the other down a dark road or street.

This seems to be an unpopular opinion but I for one cannot stand led lights. Not only does the frequency of the light itself wreck your night vision compared to a soft yellow light, but putting a led bulb in a reflector housing is wrong. The housing is designed for a halogen bulb and it results in a scatter that seems to have less throw than a proper halogen.

While you can get LED lights with a warmer color temperature, the cost more; but I agree, the blue-white light is harder to focus your eyes on. Same goes for HID for me.

Light scatter varies from lamp to lamp, and bulb to bulb. I tried a LED in one of my bikes, and it was lots brighter - especially in the near field. I just couldn't see as far, even though the light was lots brighter. They are getting better, but it's a pig in a poke for how it lights the road ahead. That's why photos from the rider's position are important.

in my earlier post I raised the notion that while LEDs provide better visual acuity, they are often too bright for oncoming traffic and can thereby actually reduce road safety.  Just saying, one should  consider how lighting mods will affect other drivers.

Pods are on. I pretty much keep them on all the time especially in the day to be seen

If you look close on the high beam pick, you can see the lower light pattern from the  pod lights

Based on the pics, scattered light or not, those light up the road well!

Of course, due to Mr Honds's strange sense of humor, you'll need a set of these for the headlights

Agreed. From what those photos show, that's the best light pattern from LED bulbs I've seen; not so much foreground light to wash out the main beam.

Both my Valk and Triumph Scrambler have the cyclops led bulbs.  I have never had someone flash their brights at me, pattern is as good or better than the stock halogen, and the throw is insane.
The white light (like sunlight) is far better for night vision, in my opinion.

To be fair, though, two candles behind clear glass would be better than the stock Scrambler headlight.  Grin
I know; I have one too.

Oh, for sure.  Even one candle would be an improvement.  Might be the worst headlight of all time, even worse than the old carbide headlights from 100 years ago!
The Cyclops headlight and two small 700 lumen driving lights gives it a decent amount of light.

I don't know - a 3-cell flashlight lit the road better than both headlights on our '30 Model A Ford. We tested it!
