My wife and I watch it semi-regularly on DVD. We were children of the sixes and that movie says a lot about what America was and what it has become.

That and the DVD of Woodstock are truely the symbols of the end of a turbulent decade.

On a side note, Pam and I went to the Woodstock 20th anniversary in 1989. We met Jerry Garcia on the road and then again at the concert. The Grateful Dead were the last band to play there in 1989. Five years later we again went and also took our daugther, my nephew, and my brother. It was different but memorable in an almost bizzarre way because it had become a "for profit" type event.

Yep, the sixties are gone.

I think it was Willie Nelson who said, "If you remember the sixties, you weren't there."

I believe it was Tommy Chong that said, "Dave's not here man."

Keep in mind that "we" doesn't include everyone.  It didn't in the sixties either.   Wink
