Time for new CT and want to know your opinion before I buy.

I am coming from a Michellin Primacy MXV4, my first CT and really liked the handling but they do not make it any longer.
Got about 25k out of it, I kinda thought I would get a little more millage but not complaining since I did like the performace and wet braking and stability.

So, I am now considering the Yokohama ENVigor - 205/60R16

Thoughts???

Suggestions???

not looking for the taxi tire since I do not want the added height and want to stay with the 205/60 profile

Thanks  cooldude cooldude

Great tire Jack. I have one as does Nick, Gil, and a few others. $81.00, $30.00 for mounting and
all is good. Can run with 40# with no trouble.   Cheesy  Cheesy  cooldude

Jack, I also have the Yokohama Envigor on my Valk and I am VERY happy with it. This is my 1st ever Darkside adventure, and I actually find very little difference between it and the Metzelers I had before. I have not ridden in adverse conditions with it, so I can't give you an opinion on that situation.

I was just thinking Jack.  Some places have a buy 3 get 1 free deal on tires.  If you could find 3 other people who would be willing to buy a tire from you, you could pay even less for your tire.

Good thinking BUT the one I ordered just came in.
I got to say "it looks great"  I am digging the rounded corners and can't wait to try it.  I am thinking I will go with the same tire whem the MT wears down on the back jack bike

Got to give a shout out to Sixlow, he helpede by sending pics and measurements.

Thanks Jack, I'm happy to help. Glad you got it, give it about a thousand miles of break in and it feels even better. This one has 10k on it and still looks new.

I'm still wavering on the whole dark side thing. I did go so, far as to buy a spare complete rear wheel assembly, and had thought that the Austin Taxi tire was what I wanted due to reduced RPMs at highway speed.

Question: will this Yokohama Envigor require any further mods (such as nut cage, etc)?

Thanks in advance for feedback. Currently up in Connecticut with family for TDay. Enough of the snow and cold already. Grandkids make it easier to endure though.  cooldude

I had previously done the cage mod, not hard to do so I would suggest to get it done.

I have to say that I am extremely pleased with the Yoko, my Michellin was great but the Yoko acts more like a motorcycle tire, it would be a great first dark side tire if you are still on the fence  cooldude

Not sure how true this is but one of the guys on a Facebook Valk group said that Yokohama is not making the Envigor in that size anymore. He bought 3 or 4 to stock up.

Don't know  if that's the case, that would be too bad since it seems  to be a great tire.
The one I just got has a date of 2018.

I have recently thought about going to this tire as I've seen lots of positive reviews on it.
I just did a search on the Yokohama site and the Avid Envigor has no size listings so I'm assuming what was said may be true and that they're not making it anymore.
I'm guessing there's still some stock for now.
I just put a new Avon on the rear so was going to be a while till a changeout.
