Started my ride today when I looked down and discovered two of my fairing screws gone. Turned around went to ACE Hardware and found some temporary replacements. After a delightful ride of 50 miles I returned home and ordered the 90107-MBY-000 screws. What gets me is the shipping price 8 screws for 25 bucks ! But hey like I told my better half it's gotta be cheaper than HD parts !!

Mine weren't rounded off but I bought pretty ones from ACE hardware for a couple bucks when I changed to Cobra M/C covers.  Perfect fit and no shipping.  Many screws and bolts can be replaced without having to use OEM.   For some like brake rotor screws and such OEM is needed

Sometimes a trip to the dealer can save you $$$. Pay another $0.25 per bolt but no shipping charges

Depending on the fastener function, if its not a critical part, I find Lowes has a very good inventory of metric bolts and screws/nuts.   ---  Then if I am really nutz, ProBolt has some incredible fasteners in multiple colors, in stainless, aluminum and titanium.  Can be the near same cost as OEM and better quality. Be sure to match function to strength required. I have ordered some here and there for different spots on several bikes and have found the fasteners to be beautiful, and top notch.

Lowes is always a good option however being an hour away doesn't always work out. I agree if it's not a critical part then the local hardware source can be a good source.  Luckily we do have an ACE Hardware. As for the local dealer they are also an hour away and after my last dealing with their repair shop I've decided to speak with my wallet and not give them any of my business even if I pay four times in shipping.
