My wife, daughter, and I are spending the night at the Spring Mill Inn just outside Mitchell, IN for a church retreat.  I went into the men's room and saw this beautiful wall rug.  It is a deer skin that has been tanned and had some of the hair removed.  The outer edge and the buck in the middle are deer hair, and where the hair has been removed, an artist has painted a portrait of the Bridgeton Bridge and Mill.  This is one of the bridges we visit during the annual Covered Bridge Ride in Parke county.

RJ, I didn't see a price tag anywhere, but will check in the morning if it is for sale and get the artist's name for you.

cooldude Nice place. I have visited the Park many times in my youth. Almost drowned in the little lake they have for swimming. We lived in French Lick at the time. Most of my family is still in the area. Shoals, West Baden, and Mitchell.

Some guys get really weirded out when the flash starts going off in the bathroom. Don't know what their problem is really.

The hide was indeed for sale and I have included a picture of the tag.  It seems a little steep for me, but there may be some mark-up involved.  You may contact the names listed to see if they have anything more reasonable.  If you are real interested, I am willing to help you with any running as that is good riding down there.

There's a guy on a local sports-talk radio station who has a character called the Gabby Urinator.  His bit is to go into the mens rooms at away games and record his enthusiastic attempts to start conversations with people as they are taking care of their business.  It's really funny, but I can't believe he hasn't been punched.
