Dinner will be served @6 with a bottle of  1000 Stories, a bourbon barrel-aged zinfandel !!!

I bought this smoker from Home Depot last fall....last one on shelf and 'on sale'...50% off !!
It uses wood chunks and is fired by a propane tank....
Soak wood chunks in water for 3 - 4 hours so they smolder instead of flame,
and adjust the flame according to heat desired.
The chicken was delicious, well seasoned with the smoke penetrating to the bone....
I used 1 sweet potato and 3 big russets .....the sweet potato absorbed more smoke than did the white russets.........
Will do this again at some point....

Tony, I told him bring that food to Portland and we'll just stay in the room. Brett and Holmes usually get suites. I say we all meet there.

I can easily smoke 8 birds at a time, weighing @ 5 lbs each.....
Not sure I'll be able to deliver them warm......
