My progressive goes down every year. Been with them for 5 years now and have 3 vehicles and 1 bike on the policy and it went from 750 every 6 months to right at 500 now. 750 was way better than farm bureau that i was paying over 1000 for.

it must be a state thing WI surely sucks for auto and cycle insurance but am sure other states are worse.  I NEVER had EVER any premiums go down in over 30 years paying for home/auto/cycles.

They always ask me why not insure my 2 ATVs or fishing boats put at least liability on them.  I say you have the money?

I know a big part though is having 2 kids under age 25 on my policy since age 19 and 21 does not go down in pricing until age 25 and am sure by then hopefully they will be on their own policy coughing up their own dough.  I still remember 3 years ago when my 2nd child, a boy,  was added to all my then 4 autos.  My insurance rates went up over 30% on EVERY single vehicle then.

With just me and the misses on our policy autos and cycles were dirt cheap until 5 years ago (daughter age 16 then)  gotta keep looking.  Sending off my vehicles/cycles stats to a guy who claims EERIE insurance is the cheapest by far, will see in a few days I guess?  Not holding my breath.  He asked me how much those 2 older cycles worth I said 2200 and 3500 or so.  He suggests since so cheap not insuring them or if driving them, carry lowest level limits on them especially with no comp or collision on either.  Makes me cringe seeing all the premiums I have shelled out past 30 years for nothing.

Serk, I feel sorry for you in about another 10 years with triplets getting their drivers license better start having them saving their pennies now.   Undecided

I messed this morning before going to work with deleting having NO insurance on 2 of the 6 cycles just will not ride them  this summer to save a few hundred bucks or more let them both sit under cover in my garage.  That will not be good for carb bikes, oh well.    Will fire them up a few times in the garage is about it all summer long.   Cry   I do not want to sell them but might end up doing so, will see?   Undecided

I best pay my cycle insurance tonight due yesterday  but dropping 2 cycles off the policy for now not going to drive them so why insure them sitting in my garage under cover?

Past 2 years same progressive policy, with 6 cycles if I removed those 2 plus even another 1 cycle the rates would stay near the same NO JOKE, but now tried deleting 2 cycles and will save me about 200 bucks a year by dropping both.  For some reason the fjr1300 was always past 2 years around 110 or so per year not bad price at all but jumped  yesterday April 12th to 264 bucks per year near triple price the rest of the cycles insured. i That is a 250% rate increase on 1 cycle called talked to 3 Progressive reps in dispute resolution on hold 30 minutes each for them to research and then phone went dead all 3 times on me.   Progressive underwriting policies change frequently and for no good reason nor common sense reasoning. uglystupid2

I have 3 companies giving info. to them on home/auto/cycles to see if anything cheaper should have an answer by tomorrow or for sure Wednesday if they want my business.   One has to keep researching and switching for getting screwed over every single year for no reason at all has to be done no insurance company is loyal to their policy holders so why be loyal to them?   tickedoff

Geico, LIberty Mutual, and others pulled the old bait and switch on me 1st 6months was decent pricing until renewal near doubled in price, no thanks.   Shocked

going to try to find time calling again Auto Owners and GMAC insurance since had them in the past as well. I highly doubt the guy I talked to today saying Erie insurance offers best rates I vaguely remember calling them few years ago and were higher than Progressive, will see?  Allstate is in the running as well maybe?

Over the last 6 yrs or so I've had Progressive, Geico, Progressive, Rider and currently Dairyland.

Rider and Dairyland offer much more bang for the buck than Progressive or Geico.

I had Rider for about a year when they were bought by Plymouth Rock.

Plymouth Rock doesn't write policies in VA so I couldn't renew the policy.

When I bought the Rider policy it had came down to a choice between them and Dairyland.

Rider had a few more free perks than Dairyland.

I know that Dairyland for me is about $500 less per year than Progressive and has more free perks.

I do still carry Full coverage on a couple of bikes that I don't ride.

The reason being is that if one of them gets knocked over or say something falls onto one of them and dents the tank, it's still covered.

I'm looking at less than $100/yr per bike to keep the insurance on them.

nope, went online and did ONLY 1 of the 6 cycles and was 1/2 of what I am paying now total so stopped, but thanks for the suggestion never hurts to try.

Allstate sent me quotes on both auto and home and cycle quote is EXACT same now that Progressive bumped up in last 7 days renewal 63 bucks total but the darn 5 autos is still 100 bucks higher every 6 months vs. Progressive.   OH so close but not switching to not save any money.
