In the east it's Bruins vs. Hurricanes to see who plays for the Cup. Boston in 6 prediction.
I like your style....... I`m not sure why, but I just can`t pull for Boston teams. Come on Hurricanes ! I get it. It can be difficult to deal with all those championships. I find it hard to keep track.... In the east it's Bruins vs. Hurricanes to see who plays for the Cup. Boston in 6 prediction.

Few are predicting that the Avs will win; well, not many predicted that they'd be at game 7. I'm wishing for a 3-1 Grubauer backed Avalanche win (2-1 with an open net) to get them to the next round against St. Louis. Go Avs! Good luck to you Sir ! I'm ready for a great game. Been up since 3 though, gonna have to make a pot of coffee.

Been up since 3 though, gonna have to make a pot of coffee. Pour me a cup to go along with my morning slice of humble pie. San Jose deserved the win by dominating the first two periods with great goaltending and another persistent forecheck. Pavelski has been an Avs killer for many years...and he returns for game seven after splitting his cabbage...Crap! Colorado pressed the play in period three, all the way until the final horn, but couldn't close the deal. Grubauer also great in net; I look for him to be #1 going into next training camp; release Varlarmov as he is useless in NHLland. Officiating for this series could have been conducted better by four blindfolded orangutans on sleds. Both teams got their share of missed or ignored calls against their opponents, but the trip on MacKinnon by Karlsson on an emerging breakaway should have been called for a penalty shot (or at the least a minor tripping) when it was 3-1 in the second and Avalanche coming on. I won't even get into the negated goal from a holographic offside by Landeskog (the league needs to tweek that rule of splitting hairs on the blue line). Less than a minute after that, some fourth liner wraps around and picks an upper corner...3-1 instead of 2-2. Heartache. Good season for Colorado, young and overachieving team, good coach. "Wait till next year". Gonna pull for St. Louis and Ryan O'Reilly to get a Cup: Rino, good player, leader, and teammate. Should be considered for the Hall when he retires.

It was a tough game, with some tough calls for the Av's. SJ almost seems destined for another Cup. Gives hope to old guys everywhere. But, I'm still pulling for the Hurricanes.

Just hoping that the two best teams meet for the Cup; that the officiating improves to a level comparable to the regular season and that the integrity of the game is preserved (unlike football). Don't mind whistles occasionally hidden, just don't leave them in the referees' locker room. A high stick to the face is still as nasty now as it was in November; same for a blatant trip in open ice. I hate when the refs pussy out and then pull a "make up call" a few minutes later for one team or another, which pisses off everyone in the building for making a second call when they should have made the first. Have never believed in "playoff hockey"...only hockey the way it should be played.

But, I'm still pulling for the Hurricanes. What! The Whalers? ??? Actually, given your record for calling the winner, that gives me confidence. Go Bruins

(I can hear the fat lady warming up) If Boston sweeps Carolina, they will win the Cup; rolling and not to be stopped. They are pretty deep in all four lines and three pairs of defensemen. Rask is solid and confident. Must win for 'Canes on Tuesday.

Carolina down three and Boston is in complete control of this series. Hurricanes are two steps off the puck and on their heels constantly. Hardly a match at this juncture unless miracles occur.

I wouldn't count the whalers out just yet.
Their a good team and Brindemore (sp) has proven to be a good rookie coach.
I'd expect a tight hard game tonight with boston maybe giving one up to finish at home.
Tooooooka! Never seen him more focused.

He has been good. The whole team has been good. As to the game last night. San Jose might just be the luckiest team going. First they get that call against the Golden Knights, now they get a no call on the hand pass. How all 4 officials don't see that is beyond me.

As my saintly and dearly departed mother would have cried to heaven: JESUS, JOSEPH, AND MARY! That officiating crew should be removed immediately from any further participation in the playoffs and forfeit their pay for last night's game. That was as blind a no-call as the one in the Saints-Rams NFL game; a travesty to the sport and an insult to the players that busted their butts for a well played 60 minutes. Had that occurred in 1955, those refs would have needed a sizeable police detail to leave the arena and one around their hotel so no harm would come to them. Frickin' zebras. Killing the game that I have loved since age 3.

St. Louis handled San Jose last night and won the game. Series tied and back to Shark tank Sunday. Reffing not great but better; still too many high sticks to the face going unpunished (both sides) for my liking. Blues can win this if they pick their spots and play good defense.

Dang it ! I missed the game. We had a little excitement at work yesterday and I spaced it out when I got home.

Berube now has his team playing straight up in the faces of the Sharks and not allowing them skating room beyond the red line. I knew that San Jose could not stomach seeing someone on their shoulders as soon as they touched the puck. Parynko is neutralizing Meier every shift. Berube is outcoaching DeBoer, even in San Jose's building. 5-0...nice. By the end of today's game, there were three Sharks players in the locker room banged up from hard checking St. Louis players. I doubt Karllsson will be back for game 6 as his groin is shot. Pavelski may have another concussion. Two big San Jose pieces compromised for an elimination game. Shutout for the rookie goaltender Binnington, who is looking stronger as this series goes forward. I look for the Blues to close it out at home on Tuesday. They now have the momentum.

Blues shut down the Sharks last night with an incessant forecheck; San Jose was never in the game. Like I said earlier, I'm rooting for Ryan O'Reilly to win a Cup; great competitor during his years in the league. He's a finalist for the Lady Byng and the Selke Trophies this year; that speaks volumes for his abilities. Two big assists on the first two goals to get the Blues rolling and added a third later. My dad always said that an assist is just as good as scoring a goal because it's all for the team winning the game. I'll be back in New England during the series; Boston fans will be going nuts and so I think I"ll wear my Avalanche hat around town (a neutral place from my regular Canadiens chapeau). Prediction: Boston in 7 (home ice advantage) or St. Louis in 6 if they steal one in Beantown and win 3 at home. Starts Monday night in Boston.
