Worthwhile jaunt?   Glad you took the bait!

Next time we'll have to squeeze in Ohio City and Marble!

Dan,

Thanks! Trying to take a few more... problem is, to do so I must stop!

Seth,

Rhetorical question? You know it was!!! Bait? No bait... When I hear about a good ride and beautiful scenery, that's all the inducement I need! Well, the fact I'd never heard of the place before enticed me more than a little bit to go see what it was all about... I think I may have an explorer gene in my DNA someplace...

Mo' fodder... Yeah, baby! Those Gerbings were crankin'!!!

umpqua atm

We rode the 'Million Dollar Highway' today... Naturally it was glorious, gorgeous, and downright awesome... as always! Hey, it ain't perfect, but it sure beats the heck out of sweating to the oldies or any other reason for sweating... especially local weather! Hope this helps, folks...

Good on you guys!   cooldude   As you saw,  we got a "tad" more of the white stuff this year than normal.  Last I heard, over 700% 1300% of normal around the Million $ Highway.

Understandable that as the temps are now rapidly rising, there is a great fear and trepidation in towns like Lake City.

Carry on!

If you guys are into the old Bronson style riding around and doing good things,  you can always volunteer a day or two lifting sandbags!    Wink

Great pics....a little green-eyed jealousy here. Looking at the load you have strapped on the back I've often wondered if it makes the front feel a tad light at times.

John, I noticed the same thing. I also noticed Bigwolf isn’t showing near as much gear? DDT, maybe a boy scout, always be prepared?

I SO like using the tagalong trailer on road trips - no packing & waterproofing, can bring the kitchen sink and it doesn't affect the ride much - still accelerates well, just allow a bit more braking room.  Have a swivel hitch so can still be quick through the twisties.  Have a cooler full of ice, water and other beverages.  Might go through brake pads slightly faster.  Lose about 6mpg.  Don't care.
