I have never seen such little activity on this site as there has been in the last couple months. Yes, our bikes are 5 years old and  Honda has not made them since 2015, and I guess we are probably losing Valk owners left and right. People have done whatever modifications they could, and nobody seems to have technical problems to get advise on. I have found this site very valuable, and tried to give advise from my experiences with this bike whenever possible. It is a shame to see this board die a slow death. I have not seen a post from our knowledgeable  Valk expert Robert in a long time, hope he is ok. Maybe everyone is out riding, and they Don't have time to visit the site. Hello, anyone out there?

Hey Bill, the site is not dying, just at a lower ebb.

First, we have been discouraged from political discussions.

Second, Inzane is about to happen.

PS;  Plenty of people have technical problems, and continue to ask for advice and assistance.

On another site I use many patrons use facebook social media instead of the forums . Could be some of that here.

OUR BIKES ARE DYING? 2funny

I don't know about everyone else but I'm out riding!
In the great N.E. we only get about 6-months of GOOD riding weather and I'm taking advantage of it.
I can't speak for anyone else but my Valk has been trouble free, solid as a rock!
I call it the "Big Lump", feels like it was made from a block of solid steel.

I only have about 30,000 miles on her, she's still breaking in!  Wink

Heck, I'm still here! The motorcycle is great and this site answers questions I didn't know I had! Nice up here and time to ride. Keep the shiny side up!

The site might be a little slow, but I also go the F6C site and it has a little more activity there. The F6B site is also very slow.

You guys need to start a few political threads on this site and then get Meathead and Baldo to start an argument, then look out!

i agree the site is alittle slow and yes it is riding season, i think we have done our winter maint, done some mods we had in mind and now its time to hit the road and enjoy what the bikes can do and that is go go GO. no problems no worries  just ride time. i have just over 38,000 miles on her now and it feels strong. Just enjoy. I have spotted afew more Valks on the road and thats great. Like i have said before im sure this bike will outlast me and be on the road long after i stop riding, but that is not soon.Ride on life is good.

Sorry guys, I didn't  mean to indicate our bikes are literally  dying, I just meant interest in our bikes was dying.

My Valk has 68,350 miles on the clock (110 000 km), runs perfectly, ever since I bought it had no problem whatsoever, so reliable !

I bought today the new Pirelli Angel GT II, had the chance to test them right away in wet conditions  Evil and they may be the best tires I know on wet roads  cooldude

Love this site.  I just lurk and really don't post much on any site on the net.  I refuse to Facebook.  Been very busy and haven't had much time to even fabricate my luggage rack and the wireless phone cradle/charger I have been meaning to get done for over a year.  Bike has been amazing and still so much fun to ride.  Changed the front tire out at 13,200 miles and the back still looks new, go figure.  No problems to speak of, it's a Honda so I wouldn't expect any.  Just riding everyday and trying to stay safe.  I do have to admit, I really miss all the people that post about the fabrication projects they were doing over the years.

Sorry to write , I don't miss my bike , lots more room in garage  , in place of riding bike , I drive my 2008 GX 470  , very comfy  , relaxing  , no need to pay much attention to others as I did on the Valk, most importantly , air condition  , xm radio , my dog on  my lap  with head out window  Smiley

The f6cforum.com is a whole lot busier . I'm a member on both. I really enjoyed the fairing build that Bill posted on here & wish someone would produce a small sporty fairing that would use a standard batwing windshield . This bike is the best bike I've ever owned but it is also the most problematic on wind management of all ......... Rod

That looks fun, I checked it on google maps with "terrain" turned on... I was in that area over a week
ago, though... today we rode some back roads to Los Alamos... along the way we stopped our
bikes at a trail-head to walk a short way so we could stand on the edge of this gorge...

I've been lurking more in the 1500 section these days. Needed lots of info to finish my 2003's rebuild. Now I'm back into both. We need another project to wet our whistles. Maybe I'll get around to finishing my stock pipes research and modification.

Just did a 3,000 mile trip to New Mexico and Arizona.  Fixing to ride it to Wisconsin at the end of month and then going to at least New York and probably up into Canada in August.  I serviced my front forks with new bushings and seals that have AK20s.  Had the rear Penske shock serviced also.  Sitting at 46,000 miles.  Gonna get the Traxxion beefy triples.  Tried the Commander 2's they dont seem to be any better than the Metzeler ME888s, especially mileage wise.  After just 3,000 miles they are already down to 4MM of thread left, started with 7MM, so will be going back to the 888's.  I don't post much.  Still love the Valk though, people just don't know what they are missing.  Someday down the road will upgrade to the semi naked new wing.  I do not want to spend a lot of time on forums, but very much appreciate all the info that is here.  Just a note as Traxxions says, there was definite wear in the upper and lower bushing in the front forks..
