a few post back Joe told us about the tree house so I had to run up and take a peek,,,,
we had a great time there, i could have stayed all day...
I would have never known about that place if had not been for this board...
as Strider would say "something else to hate about this club" finding new and intertesting places to go.

i posted an album here www.jess2.com/treehouse if you would like to see our pics...

thanks Joe for the info,,was a great time today,,,
just wish we would have been on the valk but need tires....

That looks worth a tour.

'round here even the smallest treehouse must meet local building codes. That gargantuan exhibit would either be closed to the public and/or condemned in most municipalities.

Wonder how they get around it?

That tree house looks cool. I'm going to have to go find that sometime if its not raining (which feels like it will never end at this point).

By the way, this is the basillica at the Catholic College where I work. The bricks of the church, monastery, and original college building were all made by hand from the clay on the property. Looking immediately behind the monastery (at the rear of the church behind that tree on the left corner of the photo) you can see a scenic gulley with a creek that used to be a hill. The timber was largely taken from the property was well (although not entirely).  The monks and students worked side by side with local laborers to build not only the basillica and monastery, but also the college building.

My students today have to listen to me tell them over and over about hand made bricks, because I just find that to be cool.

I don't think any of them would help if we required them to work on a building after getting out of class in the afternoons.
