As most of you know my father was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer the Friday before father's day. Since then he has declined. He moved in with my wife and I when he was no longer able to live on his own. My wife with the help of myself and nurses from the hospice facility were taking care of him.

Early this morning around 2am Twila got up and checked on him. He was still breathing although shallow. When she checked again at 8am he was gone. The nurse estimated his time of death to be around 6am. Thank you all for your ongoing prayers and concerns. The tentative times are visiting hours will be on Thurs with the funeral Friday morning at 1030. I will make another post with the obituary and services times.

It’s still sad even though we knew it was coming. Never met your dad but we all must feel the same way like we’ve known him a long time anyway. Condolences

Losing this great icon is a blow to the VRCC, and I know to your family right now.  As said, remember the good times and lessons learned.  I never met Wayne but his posts shed light on a God fearing Christian,  a motorcycle enthusiast,  a proud Veteran and true patriot, a staunch defender of American liberties and our 2nd Amendment and a public servant and volunteer.  A good man.  So sorry for your loss...

Condolences to you and your families. Never met the man but did have the privilege of having a PM conversation with him once on this board. Through his stories, and the respect folks on here had and have for him shows he led a good and honest life... a good legacy to leave...

Mark - it was truly an honor to know your dad.  Reading his stories, learning about how he got his handle, his service to our country and so much more made him a larger than life figure.  I truly believe we are all diminished by his passing.

Thank you for all the updates.  May Wayne rest in peace.

So very sorry for your loss.  Sincere condolences to you, the family and his many friends.  Remember chatting with Wayne and RJ at one of the VRCC gatherings and it was a pure joy listening to them tell their tales.  Those two VRCC icons are together once again sharing their wonderful entertaining stories and experiences.

So sorry to hear of the passing of a good and humble man

He truly set the bar very high and you are the man you are because you have listened to him
and followed his teachings best as you could.

I am grateful that I had the pleasure of sitting with him in his home a few years ago and
will not forget the pride he had for you and your brother, and Twila when we were on our way to Spearfish for Inzane.

Your family and father are in our prayers.

I do believe that as long as we are alive to remember him he will be with us.

I'm so very sorry, Mark.  Wayne will be missed.  His tales of adventure, whether riding, outings with his Miata, or his time serving, were always a treat to read.  He was always a joy to banter with as well.

May God's Peace and Love envelope you and your family.

Godspeed Solo1, have a slice of pecan pie with RJ, and rest in peace.
