Ok some dumb questions. 50,000  miles on my Standard. I have put on at east 4-5 tires since buying my 98. I have a good handle on greasing the parts attached to the wheel/hub itself. I have replaced the bearings and also the o-rings. Changed gear oil frequently. Everything looks really good in there....no issues. However, I have never inspected anything forward of the “pumpkin “. Am I missing something? Should I tear into it? I know there are gears and a U-joint forward. Also a rubber boot that’s a real bearcat I've heard. I will add that I don’t drive it much anymore....maybe 1,000 miles a year.
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry about it. You could go another 50k or more on that ujoint. I would clean and grease the pinion cup if you have not done that.

If you have put 20,000 or more miles on it since the drive shaft, pinion cup and U-joint were inspected, I would pull that all out and inspect it.  If it is all in good shape, I would then re lubricate and reassemble with a new seal.  I like to replace that seal every 20K or so just because it is so cheap and yet, if it fails, the resulting damage is currently about $120 USD.
