After the happenings of recent months, I sometimes sit here and listen to various songs on You Tube. Some really tug at the old heart strings due to the memories that come rushing back. Here's just a few that cause me to grab a kleenex. Another week will be five months, but seems a lifetime has already passed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1vXsbqZnK4   (A popular song during WWII sung by Vera Lynn, a popular singer of the time. Rita and I used to dance to it in the kitchen. In the last hours and pretty much comatose, I cradled her head in my arms and whispered that I wanted a goodnight kiss. When I touched her lips with mine she literally responded by puckering and kissing me back, there was no other response. Most definitely....that kiss will live in my heart.)  smitten

My condolences on your loss John. Loss of a loved one is a pain not soon forgotten.
Music is amazing. It has the ability to take you right back to a time and place. As you listen to such a song, you can sit and relive that wonderful or not so wonderful moment in your mind.
Three wonderful songs but, the first one we have in common. "About Last Night" was the first movie my future wife and I saw together. To this day we still dance to that song, at home and anywhere we hear it played.
Take care and enjoy those memories!

I'm sorry for your loss John. Cancer took my Patti almost 8 years ago now. There are songs that still stop me in my tracks, but they are good memories. That's why they pull so hard on those strings. I have followed some of your post's and it sounds like you had a wonderful woman and you stood strong by her side. All we can do is cherish the memories and continue doing the best we can.
