Selling my 1998 Valkyrie Standard turned Tourer (bags & windshield added).
Keeping maintenance up on two bikes and an older jeep is too much. It takes away from riding and off roading time. And, since they need riding/driving to stay in shape, it’s a vicious downward spiral.
Asking $4,000 but will consider reasonable offers from VRCC members.
It’s about to be prime riding weather in the south, and this is a prime bike to do it on.
I bought this bike in 2003 from the dealer who sold it new then bought or took it back in trade from the original owner. The dealer installed the 6x6 exhaust, re-jetted it, and had it pinstriped. It had just under 5,000 miles on it when I acquired it; now it has just over 90,000 (not even middle-aged). The bike is in excellent shape. Not pristine, mind you, because you can’t put 90k on a bike and not have some evidence of it, but still way above average.
Unlike a barn-find that’s been sitting for 15 or 20 years, this bike is in good running order because it has been ridden and maintained.

It carried me on an Iron Butt Saddlesore 1000 in 2010 and on multiple 700+ mile days. You won’t have to immediately rebuild carbs or chase leaks, or run down any of the other gremlins you might inherit with a bike that’s been sitting.
It’s currently set up for solo riding, but will come with a passenger seat, sissybar with backrest, passenger pegs, and luggage rack.
This is a well set up, elegant-looking bike. Whether it’s your first Valk or your next Valk, you won’t be sorry if you buy it. (Many DFW Texas VRCC members know it. Feel free to ask around.)
