In case anybody is interested, if you are an Amazon Prime Member, Amazon has Gates T275 timing belts for $17.32 each (2 required for the 1500cc Valkyrie) with free shipping for Prime Members.  I just ordered 4.  Just copy and paste the link below into your browser.

https://www.amazon.com/Gates-T275-Timing-Belt/dp/B000CRDMS8/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=t275+timing+belt&qid=1572912869&sr=8-1

They also fit the Honda Goldwing GL1500's.  They should arrive at my house on Wednesday, Nov. 6th.

The price very close to what I paid a year ago I guess this is the correct price and should be available whenever needed.
I changed mine based soon age I only had about a 3000 miles on the bike but being a 98 they were 20 years o,d.  For the record they looked like new but I changed them anyway.

Rock Auto has them for $14.37 each, but you'd need to pay for shipping as well. Probably wouldn't work out by themselves, but if you also needed some stuff for your other vehicles, it could end up reducing the overall shipping costs overall.  https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/gates,T275,timing+belt,5716

Wow!  You are so lucky to have a Valk with just 3,000 miles on it!  I bought a 98 Tourer with 26,000 miles on it and thought I was doing good.

Sometimes things are better to be used a bit just to keep things fresh mine sat for a long time took a little time to have a comfort level that everything was good.  Tires were brand new but things like belts concerned me hence why I changed them so early.
It is an easy job took much less time then I expected!
Best of luck.

Bought a couple as well. Too darned convenient to just push a "buy now" button and see them on your doorstep in 2 days.

I hear ya, Jack.  One set will be installed on my 2000 Standard and the other set will go on my 1994 Goldwing trike.  The belts on these bikes have never been changed.  The plan is to install my 6 degree trigger wheel and check the valve adjustment on the 2000 at the same time.  I bet the Valk will be a lot easier to do than the Goldwing.  We'll see.
