John, go to Buds Gun shop online. They pretty much set the price for anything "guns".
I always use them as a reference price when interested in something.

$300, give or take.

Mine was closer to a hundred, but that was in an earlier century.

I always like to look for used because they are usually in very nice shape, cheaper, and it is none of the G's business what firearms I own.

Wisconsin rifles (click on the top right, and you can add or delete FFL sellers from your shopping) (you can also narrow the search to areas/towns closer to where you live)

Dang, I'm getting old ! $300 for a Ruger 10/22 ? I guess I'll just stick with my $25 Remington Nylon 66. (I think the farm engraved one is pretty cool)

Just depends on who and where you buy from I bought a 3 rd one from a local dealer about 3 months ago and it has the American Flag engraved on the stock. For just under $250. You ask why a third one? Well I have two Older ones and why not? They are fun cheap entertainment.

Have you tried the Ruger BX trigger yet?..amazing improvement for around $60 (+/-).  I’m sure the Volquartsen or Timney triggers are superior to the BX, but they are also close to the price of a new, complete 10/22.

The great thing about the 10/22s is that there are almost unlimited customization parts available.  It just depends on your pocketbook.  There’s nothing wrong with a stock 10/22 either.  Someday I’d love to build a full race version.

It’s hard to have just one!

Good luck...
