Could not agree more ...If I ever hit the lottery the only cold air I'll feel will be from air conditioning It could be so much worse ...I could live up north I was just checking out my map and planning a nice long road trip down in Dixie somewhere for the Christmas break I'm fixin' to start on the 18th.

I hate winter too, and you guys probably think I don't know what winter really is.....it all has to do with what you grew up with...today is 74 degrees with 120% humitity...everything is wet and it has not rained...last Friday we had snow and 1 more shot it was so exciting...last about 2 hours and then just wet stuff...I know for sure I could never live up north and that is north of I-30...maybe....

We're in the southern part, on the Greenbrier river in Summers county. We come to the Huntington area a least twice a year, our Dentist is in Barboursville. Also have family in St.Albans and Winfield. Buy the way I'm an alumni of Marshall.

Hey Buster, I guess there are more of us Valkers in WV than I thought. I had known about Sgt. Bunny in Kingwood, Hillbilly in Chapmanville, 3Valks in Mason Co., Wolf1910 in Lewisburg, I am sure there are others I am just forgetting. Woud be neat to have a complete list of active VRCC'rs in WV.

yeppy skippy!
i get to drive to MSP tomorrow in a blizzard to try and catch a flight to phoenix. saddly, it's for my fathers funeral.
saw the picture of the roads, that's probably what it'll look like tomorrow morning for me! what makes it worse is the wife telling me to slow down, or when she grabs for the stearing wheel 'cause she felt the van slide alittle!

""I know for sure I could never live up north and that is north of I-30...maybe...."" I-30????? As a Florida native, I thought "up nawth" was anything above I-10! Rode home from work this evening in a t-shirt. And I get cold at any temp below 75. It was 83 today.

I-10 has always been the divide for us as well..Have always lived south of I-10.. but we are trying to open our scope and broaden our horizons....so we picked I-30... Pretty big leap ..Huh...

When I was a kid, I loved winter. I was into skiing and actually liked going out driving in the snow. But now, as I have gotten older (I'm 38 now) I hate winter more and more. The cold just gets to me. Why I haven't moved south is beyond me.

1 foot this morning! First storm in a while where i've seen plows in the ditch! They say we're supposed to get some more, and it's gonna blow all day long. I love Minnesota. This means I'm not riding the Valk for Christmas

Dumbass me. I've put up with northern Indiana weather for 81 years now and never gave it a thought of headin' south.
I'm in winter routine now. Parka jacket, shoe chains in my Toyota Highlander all wheel drive along with a blanket and cell phone, snow blower in the front garage, portable generator in the back shed, etc.
Put into hibernation the Nighthawk and the Miata.
My ham antenna took a permanent lean to the northeast last winter. It might go horizontal with this wind but I don't give a crap, insurance.
C'mon Spring!

I am about 30 mines west of Mikey. Had to blow snow to get out of the driveway this morning. They upped our expected totals to 16" and we have about a foot now, with winds. Blizzard warning here, kinda sad to see the Valk in the back of the garage all covered up with a snowblower next to it (now Valk related).
