Now it's REALLY getting serious, Waffle House is closing some of it's locations entirely...

(FEMA literally uses the status of Waffle Houses to judge the severity of disasters - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waffle_House_Index )

In Texas we have had  8 (eight) deaths from the Corona virus...it is treatable w/Z-pak-$35 and Plaquenil-5 cents retail price 2 twice a day day 1 and then 1 day for 4 days----1 a day can be taken for prophylaxis-and some Zinc-all by current literature..and by news reports many--even in hospitals many are NOT receiving above Rx..33,000 die annually in MVA's

Pretty much problem solved.  Carry on everybody!  Drive carefully!

Yes the treatments look promising to reduce the days of suffering.  I have not seen evidence of them being used as prophylaxis.

Prince Charles has it.

He hasn't seen the Queen since March 12th, but if he was contagious then, and if she has it, at 92, the UK could have a big morale hit right when they need it least.

Hoping they don't have a "London Bridge is Down" event right now.

(Little off topic but since most of us have time on our hands, the protocol for when that happens is pretty interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-u5nd2GqNE )

Ditto on not wishing the Queen a "BAD DAY" right now.

How much does it cost when the US has a former / current President pass ?

I did read that one of the ways the malaria drugs work is by forcing zinc into the cells thereby killing the virus.
The best absorbable supplement form of zinc to take is Zinc Picolinate. avail any health food store.

Update from my friend in Seattle:

Sorry but not sorry to all my friends that have asked questions. I just don't have it in me to answer everyone. I still struggle with breathing and my rescue inhaler has kept me out of the hospital at times, lungs and chest are super sore from coughing fits that make it extremely difficult to get air. It is a slow process.

Yes, prayers continue for your friend.  We've got a case in Crested Butte, a man named Skye Houseman.  My brother knows him.  Virus hammered him pretty good, one of the therapeutics is helping him now but as said it's a long road back.  He wasn't given the drug until nine days in.  It probably should be administered earlier.

Anyway, I don't do Facebook but have seen his videos that are posted there.  Doesn't look like a fun experience.  Just enter his name and Crested Butte if you're interested in viewing them.

always follow the money.

Other than this obvious point, insiders, like me, may have noticed the following.

• Fears about COVID-19 seem to be exaggerated. Yes, all flu viruses are risky. They regularly take a lot of lives. But President Donald Trump is now saying what I’ve said from the start: The 2.5%-3% “mortality rate” is vastly overstated and misleading because so many people have had such mild cases they never get included in the infection rate. That oversight boosts the supposed mortality rate.

• If the U.S. tracks China and South Korea, incidents of new cases and deaths will peak and begin to decline soon. Baird biotech analyst Brian Skorney thinks this could happen in two to four weeks.

• Former Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein and others are pushing back on the national lockdown, noting that it too can cause serious health issues. Trump is running with this idea, citing potential suicides and severe depression linked to job loss.

• The U.S. is a lot different from Italy. So Italy won’t be a model for lethality rates here. A lot more Italians have been lifelong smokers, damaging their lungs, which increases vulnerability. In Italy’s family-oriented culture, there’s a lot more daily interaction between the elderly and youth, providing greater opportunity for the disease to spread. There’s also a lot more casual physical contact among friends in social settings, particularly when greeting. Phone-tracking studies show a lot of Italians ignored their lockdown, whereas the streets of New York have been vacant since Gov. Mario Cuomo told everyone to stay inside.

[Hmmm, I stated this about a week ago.]

• Studies show COVID-19 thrives and spreads in a narrow temperature and humidity range. As temperatures and humidity levels begin to rise, the spread should decline.

I know opinions can't be changed.  Politics, Coronavirus, vegan, flat Earth, global warming cooling climate change.

Went to take the trash out.  Neighbor on his porch asked how I'm doing.  "Haven't caught the virus yet", I laughed.
"It's going down", he said.  Holding my hand to my ear, "What"?  "This stuff that's going around, it's slowing down".

Waved and smiled as I was going back in.

So that's my neighbors opinion.  I think he's right.  The numbers are going down.  In a few weeks, if we're lucky.

Watching Tedros speaking live, and I'm paraphrasing here. He says a huge concern of WHO is the talk of nations getting their people moving and economies going too early and before it's safe.  He mentioned it would not be good to open schools, businesses, etc. only to see new outbreaks and have to close them again.

They recommend six measures countries should follow to get a grip on the virus, and prevent resurgence.  I'm looking but since the meeting is in progress I can not find the six recommendations in print yet.

He also said, again paraphrasing, that wealthier nations need to start shelling out the bucks to help countries like South Africa that are getting  -- or are about to get --  devastated by this Chinavirus.

I am not a huge fan of WHO, so don't shoot the messenger.

WHO live briefing on YouTube right now if interested.

Click on the state map to find your county.

It's a little out of date.  On that map our county says 40 cases no deaths.  We're currently at 52 cases, 1 death.   A man in his 50s.  Two ventilators in our tiny hospital.   Sad

I'm hearing LA and specifically New Orleans should be hunkering hard.

Big update with a overall timeline from my friend that has a confirmed COVID-19 case:

So some have wanted to know timelines, care etc.. This is what i am posting.

I have heard that there are some out there that feel this is really just like the flu. So this is first hand information from someone (me) that was diagnosed positive for COVID 19. You hear that it is like the flu because it is a virus (like the flu) that initially hits your body with very similar symptoms.

13 Mar - Fri
My symptoms:
Slight cough.

16 Mar - Mon
My symptoms:
thicker cough, chills, body aches, fever.

I honestly thought I had the flu, a really BAD flu. I went to urgent care wearing a mask, hunkered in the corner of the waiting room having a difficult time breathing.
I was brought back and the tests for the flu were administered and while they were awaiting the results the Dr decided to do a chest x-ray due to the cough and breathing issues.
The flu tests came back negative. It was decided to administer the COVID 19 test. That test is not performed on site so it had to be sent into a lab. Also the chest X-ray came back showing that I had Pneumonia.

17 & 18 Mar
My symptoms:
Heavier cough, chills, body aches, fever.
In bed fighting the symptoms.. Lots of water. Ibuprofen, Sleep...

19 Mar - Thur
My Symptoms
Slight cough, shortness of breath.
Woke up feeling actually really good. I had not heard back about the COVID 19 test results so I called the number given to me. Well the results were that I was positive. I was thinking well this wasn't too bad.

20 Mar - Fri
My symptoms:
Heavy cough, chills, body aches, fever, unable to catch breath.
Thursday was a good day then the Pneumonia portion of this hit me hard. This was the worst day so far.
I went to the ER of course the hospital was not equipped to handle patients that were positive for COVID 19. Not only that they did not even try to provide any relief from the symptoms. Basically they were containing me until a bed could be found in another hospital. Even a rescue inhaler would have made a huge difference in how I felt. But NOOOO.. They did X-rays and determined my lungs were filling up with fluid.
14 hours of hell later, a bed was found.

21 Mar - Sat
My symptoms:
Heavy cough, chills, body aches, fever, unable to catch breath.
0230am I was transported to Good Sam hospital. Was given a big injection and antibiotics which made me immediately vomit. I was also put on the HydroxyChloroquine and another antibiotic twice a day. Started feeling better later that day. Still had heavy coughing fits. By the end of the day the fluid level was going down in my lugs.

22 Mar - Sun
My symptoms:
Evening - Most symptoms with the exception of shortness of breath and coughing when moving too much, like getting up to use the restroom. I am talking like you feel like your lungs are going to explode.
I was able to get the Dr to let me go home to finish recovering because it did not look like a ventilator was going to be needed and there were plenty of other patients that could use the room. My 02 Saturation was good.

25 Mar - Wed
My symptoms:
Slight cough, Tired
Done with the Meds
The coughing fits have been horrible and extremely painful. I was sent home with a rescue inhaler, and the meds to finish off.
I have gone all day today without a heavy coughing fit. I have been careful in my movements, climbing stairs, standing up from a chair etc.. to try and not aggravate the lungs.

Flu? Not at all. I have had the flu pretty bad once before that put me down for 10 days, Nothing compared to this.
No appetite.

This confirms what I have come to believe (from all my reading).

I've had the flu before too, medium bad (several times in my youth).

Even if the regular flu is more likely to kill people than the kungflu, I don't want the kungflu (at all) and would rather have the regular flu (if I had to choose between them).  Course, I'll take door number three please.

Serk, my only questions about your friend.... do you know his age?  Does he have any idea where he got it?

57, and he's a drummer in a gig band, figures he picked it up at a music gig/bar. Although his company was slow to allow people to work remotely (And made the news for that, they are a large membership based wholesale company, he works in their corporate IT department.)

Before IT he was in the Air Force and served several tours in Desert Storm and other interesting areas as an electrical fixit guy in F4's and later F117 Stealth Fighters...

Thanks for posting that Serk.   Sounds pretty cursed hellish.   I've had influenza that beat the tar out of me,  this sounds much worse.  I just learned another man in his early 60s from Crested Butte fell ill,  but is critical and was transported to St. Mary's in Grand Junction some three hours away.

So glad your friend is over the hump.

thanks for the insight Serk on symptoms and what he went thru, hope it helps someone diagnose if need be.

sounds like this pneumonia thing affecting breathing and lungs filling up is the key to this virus knowing you got it vs. the normal flu.  I never had bad lungs or pneumonia so if healthy people normally get this symptom I would for sure be going in and getting tested for even healthy people are dying if not treated in their 20-50 age range.

Nothing major. Typical late middle aged pudginess, drinks too much like many of us do, otherwise pretty healthy guy... Since he said I could share his post on the Book of Faces I'll assume he's okay with folks seeing what he looks like...

Serk hope he continues his recovery  That was helpful information,

Covid is pretty real here, my clients in the health field are very nervous  I spoke to some today and they are seeing some scary stuff.  I have a friend who just had a small stroke today and is more scared of getting covid in the hospital than he is of dying from the stroke.  He is 68.

In Ossining and Briarcliff (Ossining is both a town and village and Briarcliff is a village partially in Ossining there were 66 confirmed cases so far last week. There are about 33000 people combined between them  But only people in the hospital are tested so nobody knows who has it and who doesnt.  You have to be pretty bad off to get tested

I guess I am lucky to be on my 2nd day of antibiotics (zpac) which I got from the family dr even though I never got to see her.  Did have a fever during the night on Sunday night teeth chattering was freezing and coughing dry.  That was why I finally called the doc Monday morning, after having the cough for weeks with sinus headache was just the icing as I keep hearing about the cough aspect.  Ribs are sore by now lol but the headache is just about gone, finally.   No fever since Sunday night.

no covid19 test as I am not considered bad enough  and only given in the hospital which is not a place I want to visit

Was short of breath trying to chop wood so stopped doing that, even sawing wood knocked me out

So just riding the stationary bike for 10 minutes at a time a few times a day and drinking lots of fluids and taking naps and staying away from SUGAR which depresses your immune system.  Lots of vitamin c and d
and echinachea/herb ticture my wife made me.  Also elderberry syrup she makes that tastes terrific (probably the honey in it- yeah I know its sugar)

Did read  a good c j box book today, working on emails to clients staying positive and listening to my mentor on video calls.

Haha! To expand a little... Pneumonia vaccines protect against pneumococcal bacteria, not viruses.

Fauci says US needs to be prepared for coronavirus to be cyclical

https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/489582-fauci-says-us-needs-to-be-prepared-for-coronavirus-to-be-cyclical

This is the "e"  word I've been mentioning.   Endemic.   Among us.  Seasonal returns, like influenza.  With seasonal mutations, like influenza.

We need that vaccine!

https://www.livemint.com/news/world/countries-should-stop-wasting-time-and-fight-coronavirus-who-11585195419368.html

“We squandered the first window of opportunity," said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. “The time to act was actually more than a month ago or two months ago."

How long lockdowns must last depends on what actions countries take during them to ensure the disease is eradicated, Tedros said.  While such strict regimes impose harsh social and economic costs, “the last thing any country needs is to reopen schools and businesses only to close them again because of a resurgence in cases," Tedros said.

He gave a list of six actions every country should take:

Expand, train and deploy health-care workers
Implement systems to find suspected cases
Ramp up production of tests and increase availability
Identify facilities that can be transformed into coronavirus health centers
Develop plans to quarantine cases
Refocus government on suppressing the virus

We need that vaccine!

https://healthy.net/2000/12/06/do-vaccines-disable-the-immune-system/

https://iythealth.com/vaccines-weaken-immune-system/

https://www.thelibertybeacon.com/your-immune-system-how-it-works-and-how-vaccines-damage-it/

if anyone does further research they will find that the "injection" of vaccines is the problem, much research out there of how it changes the immune system to not to work as God intended.  when a vaccine is used externally such as was done with the polio vaccines, they work.  Injections are cheap to make and administer with the false hope of being vaccinated.
I've posted before the recent mumps and chicken pox outbreaks at college campuses the last few yrs proves that they don't work, since all of those students Were vaccinated for those viruses as children. This can be looked up.
Getting mumps after childhood can cause Meningitis, which again there have been Meningitis outbreaks at colleges, so now all need to have a vac shot for that because the childhood mumps vac shot didn't work.
getting mumps after childhood also damages the reproductive systems of both sexes reducing the birth rate.

Of the children who contracted chickenpox in an outbreak in Maryland in 2001, 75 percent of the affected had actually been vaccinated versus the disease. Likewise, last year the United States experienced the biggest break out of mumps since 2006. More than 1,000 individuals in New Jersey and New York fell ill, yet 77 percent of those sickened were vaccinated against mumps. according to iythealth.com.

The Pandemrix vaccine versus H1N1 influenza increases the risk of narcolepsy in children and teenagers under the age of 20 by 400 percent. For each 100,000 children/adolescents vaccinated, 4.06 of them ended up being identified with narcolepsy, compared to the normal occurrence, which is 0.97 cases per 100,000. That suggests that for each 100,000 children immunized, 3 are guaranteed to develop narcolepsy as a result of the vaccine. Finland likewise performed an investigation into the Pandemrix vaccine. There, the vaccine was discovered to increase the risk of narcolepsy by 900 percent in children and adolescents below the age of 19! As a result of these findings the Swedish Medical products Agency (MPA) concluded that the vaccine needs to be withdrawn from use in children and adolescents. according to iythealth.com.

However thimerosal is not the only issue when it pertains to flu vaccines. You also have the dangers of immune adjuvants like squalene or aluminum to compete with. (Aluminum adjuvants are used in authorized U.S. influenza vaccines while other countries may permit squalene to be included as an adjuvant). Other toxic substances found in numerous vaccines include: Ethylene glycol (antifreeze). Triton X100 (detergent). Formaldehyde– a known cancer causing agent. Monosodium glutamate (MSG). Neomycin and streptomycin (antibiotics). Phenol (carbolic acid). Aluminum– a neurotoxin connected to Alzheimer’s disease. Polysorbate 80 (Tween80 ™)– which can cause severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis. (To identify which vaccines consist of which components, see this CDC list.) according to iythealth.com.

Remember this, these medical corporations are run by executives that have almost zero medical training. They are simply there for their profits.
Just move my mom from one assisted living to another one. last yr she told me the care was going away, only a physicians assistant was available once a month and nobody knew when she was showing up. all of the food was prepackaged and heated up for meals.
After researching the company, find out its a billion dollar company with a stock ticket.  All of the top executives HAVE ZERO medical background. their careers were nothing more than moving from company to company increasing their pay.

Believe what you will, but the information is out there about the vac dangers and if they do work it is only temporary.

There's also plenty of information out there about how anti-vaxers put the rest of us in harm's way due to their unjustified and self centered behaviors.

You mentioned vaccines aren't what God intended.

Not sure about that, but if He wants me to die an agonizing death due to drowning in my own phlegm, I'd prefer to alter that course!

I'm sure if the FDA approves a vaccine for COVID-19 within the next year or so I'll be standing in line for it like I do for my annual flu shot.

Sounds like the hot spot in Gunnison County is Crested Butte.  Is that true?

Thanks for posting that Serk.   Sounds pretty cursed hellish.   I've had influenza that beat the tar out of me,  this sounds much worse.  I just learned another man in his early 60s from Crested Butte fell ill,  but is critical and was transported to St. Mary's in Grand Junction some three hours away.

So glad your friend is over the hump.

Can't say for sure, Dave.  I know of the two men from there, and also a nurse who lives in CB who got infected on a Hawaii vacation.  It is really bad in the valley my friend who works at GVH is nervous, to put it lightly.

Coming soon to a factory near  you???

Italy has become the first western developed nation to idle most of its industry to halt the spread of the coronavirus, in a potential cautionary tale for other governments, such as the Trump administration, that are resisting such drastic measures.
