I too would think the center of gravity on that monster vulcan 2000 be much higher as well and feel more top heavy but maybe with a lower seat height it helps, not sure? What matters is it fits YOU and the misses very well.
I hear those 2000cc vulcans are superior performers as well so you will not feel a need for more power either. Hope it works out for you since it looks very sharp indeed, congrats!

and here I thought you were going to take my advice and get a suzuki burgman 650 scooter?

far superior storage, 2-up space, agile/maneuverability, with adequate performance and ergos enough for 2-up riding getting 50 mpg with a little over 3 gallon gas tank.

PLUS, belt drive no maintenance and can get a car tire put on the rear as well for longevity purposes to go darkside.

Sorry cookiedough, I guess scooters ain't our thing either

As for mpg, I was taking the Valk to work for a couple of weeks before the trade, and was returning around 40mpg(uk).
Taking the VN now, on the same journey at the same speeds, at the same time of day, I am returning around 54mpg(uk).
Sorry, no car tyre will be fitted. I tried it on the Valk, but didn't like the loss of neutrality. Then I discovered that it's illegal here as it is in the UK.
I'm going to have to modify my riding a bit too. Where the Valk would pull smoothly in top gear from about 20mph, not so the VN. She bucked like a kangaroo when I tried it, so I'll have to downshift more than I did before.
I'll get there. It's a learning curve.
