Juneteenth and now a black national anthem !  Wouldn't it be better to just start your own country somewhere if you are that unhappy with the one you now have. JMO but I'd be OK with that.

There was that opportunity so many years ago.  That was the beginning of Liberia.  It didn't work out so well.

The BLM people don't want their own separate country.  They want to own yours.

Yep, they do want our country don't they. Too lazy or stupid to build their own. Probably both. We can already see what would happen if they get it, I think we're in for a battle. This should have been stopped at the source.

Liberia. Yep, started as a brain child of Lincoln's. I think we'd be farther ahead if it had happened. His $8 million in gold would have been a bargain. I don't remember the particulars of why it didn't happen.

Still speaking of Africa. I know a couple immigrant families  from Nigeria. They are hard working good folks [ took awhile to figure that out] that don't like whats going on here and do not want those from our country going to theirs.  And they are pretty vocal about it.

Liberia predated Lincoln's presidency by forty years.  It was founded and supported by the United States as a place for freed slaves to migrate back to Africa.  The people who colonized it, in my opinion, were ill prepared to manage and develop the country.  The U.S. kept supporting Liberia through funds and other means.  In the twenty-first century Liberia was taken away from the descendants of the U.S. slaves who had migrated to and controlled the country until then.

You're right. It was started as a place for ex-slaves to migrate back to their country about 1816-1820 or so.   President Monroe pushed the issue and the capital was named Monrovia [ or some such similar name] after him. It didn't work out very well. President Lincoln wanted to expand and was able to obtain $8 million in gold to take ex-slaves right after the war to that country. The greatest number went during those years but again it didn't seem to work as planned. I believe Lincoln wanted all to return to that country.

If that does occur, the easy fix is for people to vote with their pocketbooks.

If the NFL ratings drop to near zero the sponsorship $$ will dry up.

If people refuse to attend the games there will be no money from ticket sales.

If people refuse to buy NFL merchandise from any of the teams that money will dry up as well.

The NFL can be bankrupted, enough people just have to assert the will power to do it.

I don't see any of that happening.

Question - Have you ever posted anything relating to or about riding motorcycles?
