Sorry guys, I haven't been keeping up. Been refabbing a kitchen for my daughter. A couple days I read something that showed before and after pics with the noose/hand pull cut off. Got home a while ago, perused the brilliance of insight on the VRCC board. Saw the pic here with it still attached. No biggie, I'll find out later.  Smiley

Your picture make the "noose" look much bigger than the one below.  What kind of shrunken headed mo-fo could be hung with this?

Not a hangman's noose.  A Hangman's knot has thirteen wraps. In some states it is an illegal knot.

I'm unclear of the rope/noose. Did they find it as pictured still attached to the door pull ? An initial report I saw implied it was cut off the door and hanging somewhere.

I read that a teammate found it somewhere in the garage a week after they moved in.
Probably laying on a shelf, THAT IS WHERE THE PLAN WAS HATCHED.

if other garages have the same EXACT rope very similar then what is the big deal?  Are the other Nascar garages door pull made of wire cable instead vs. a rope with a 'noose' looking type grab handle? or are other Nascar garages made of rope that is not tied into a NOOSE looking design?

I need more clarification I guess before I decide for myself if a noose or a garage door pull rope?  Then again,  my opinion does not matter the BLM will call it a noose regardless to stir the pot some more.

There's a video I can't find that I saw on TV, of a drive by video crossing in front of the garage which demonstrates a rope with a noose on the end hanging along the side of the door.  The noose was not the little shrunken head noose, it was definitely more along the size of the pic I posted.  Not sure which pic is correct, but BOTH seem to be taken at a racetrack.  Maybe it's just something several teams have done, who knows, not us, not ever.

The photo above with the larger noose looks like it is brand new rope.

See the twist in the loop area. Old rope would have got "limp".

When this first was "reported" a website I visit (now instead of the Drudge Report, see link below) had a link to a site that showed the rope in the second picture.  It was attributed to the appropriate garage and it was stated that it was there last year.

When I did not see a picture of the "noose" I was surprised.  Why not show the obvious evidence?  What is the reason they are keeping it a secret.  Most times its front page.  Not in this case, raises more questions.

My analysis (as mentioned above), this rope on the first picture looks new.  I don't think it was there originally.  I think it was a fabrication simply because there were no pictures in the original articles announcing the event and if they showed the picture of the "noose" that was there last year, it would have been obvious it was a fabrication.

Thanks for that... Drudge seems to have developed a bad case of TDS lately, nice to have an alternative...

You are welcome and yes you are correct about Drudge.

The Liberty Daily is, well, a little right of center but it gives an alternative source of information that I can fact check in different ways.

Saw this in a news feed yesterday.

https://nypost.com/2020/06/26/racetrack-owner-ripped-for-bubba-rope-ad-amid-noose-scandal/

While I can agree that the idea of selling "Bubba Rope" to promote a racetrack is in very poor taste and wrong on many levels.

I'm having a hard time comprehending why some people think that it warrants criminal charges:

Quote
Reidsville NAACP chapter president Jeff Crisp said he has contacted the state director of the NAACP about seeking criminal charges against Fulp, according to the newspaper.

Have we really reached the point where poor taste equals jail time?
