99 tourer turns rusty classic throw back, you can call rat rod, barn find or whatever lol, fine with me before anybody gets upset at how I might've butchered the bike everything on it was extra parts laying around, still have all take offs including the tins. Now my stable has a classic interstate, a military bobber and a rat rod/ cafe racer just for a change. All opinions are welcome.

I'm a big fan of shiny chrome especially on my Valk Smiley but I'm also a fan of rat rods, so I think this actually looks kinda cool. The fact that you used other parts rather than desicrating good existing parts is great. I'm always appreciative of those who are willing and able to try different things and looks with their Valk. No matter what the look someone is going for, that beautiful engine is always the focal point  cooldude
Thanks for posting this... I think you did a good job getting the "look" you were after.

I like. I like how everything looks like it belongs. Just missing the front fender.

All the chrome is missing, I like how you patenaed (?) the whole thing. How the parts look like they belong together. The Honda seat. It all just fits.

Good job.

Then from left over pieces? You built it up from parts, even better too.

For a rusty classic throw back, I like the unique look a lot.   cooldude

However, while that old Honda seat looks like it sort of belongs there, it doesn't do it for me, and I know my butt wouldn't like it much.  I think a (somehow) weathered big solo seat would look and feel better.

Or (gasp), even an old worn leather Corbin (though they're too hard for me).

I love the look Larue, I don't know if you mind the nickname but I'm liking the rat-rod.
You and others have a way with bikes, I like.

I also like it a lot and I agree with it having a solo seat maybe a tractor seat
Still looks good that way it is

Funny I love the seat.  I suppose it is apart of my early days of riding the seat that was mostly seen.   I like it Larue and the seat and NO front fender are a hit.    cooldude

Very cool, (but how did you get the plastic part to rust to match so well?)  Probably a lot lighter than a Tourer, for example.

You and Jack are Valkyrie artists, very nice job. The seat and rear remind me of my old CB be 750 four.

Kinda cool. However the rubber accordion boots should cover the steel part of the forks

You do some amazing work Larue  cooldude I love the valve covers. It's too bad there is not a way to extend the fork rubbers down all the way.  Skill, talent, vision. Very impressive  cooldude

You pieced together a cool rat bike.  I like the old school seat and dust covers.  Not sure I'd like the lack-o-fender if caught in a cloudburst, but it sure looks good.

Hey old friend, that's another big hit you rolled out. I like it, always wanted to build a bobber type for running around town and maybe short weekend ventures. Wondering about the front tire....what is it. Looks rather beefy. Overall....  cooldude

PS: Sure miss you guys down there.  Sad

I like the seat. The forks, no front fender and grill over headlight all make me think of mad max. Awesome job.  Cool

Love it and love the seat on it! What did it come off of?
Wonder what it weighs? Power to weight looks pretty advantageous!

Hey John....you DID build one of those with the 4-cylinder engine. Should have kept that one so get busy!

Sand it down good and paint to match the patina.

Hi john it’s a dunlop 404

Thanks rob they will be too loose if extended down cuz that part is too skinny and our lower forks part is shaped weird.

Kinda cool. However the rubber accordion boots should cover the steel part of the forks

Hey Jeff , good point, I’m aware of that, on the valkyrie that steel part is too skinny and way too low a position for The fork rubber boot look I was after.

Love it and love the seat on it! What did it come off of?

Hey Pappy the seat didn’t have a year or model description, it’s really comfy and wide enough, looks like some 80s 750 cb to me too. As far as weight , it sure is lighter and faster not to mention louder lol

Thank you everyone for your Different input and compliments and suggestions, it means a lot.

If I can find an inexpensive candidate it would make a good winter project. That means I'd have a lot of time to work on it up here where they have 10 months of winter and 2 months of poor sledding.  Grin
