Brief update - Kali and I both decided that to make it the 600 miles one shot home today, BOTH of has to be okay with that the whole trip.....

We made it to within almost 200 miles of home, and she exercised that right, the heat was just getting to be too much....

So we're holed up in Minden, Louisiana, should have a hopefully pleasant ~200 mile home ride tomorrow, will update again once we're home and safe...

Hope everyone else with Inzane XX at their tail is arriving home safely as well!

...awaiting Serkle hint #1 anxiously..... Don't let her fool you, she got more out of helping than she put in, she loved every.... freaking... moment of it!!! Smiley

She did want me to post her "States ridden in" map..... Not too bad for a 17 year old girl, eh?  (She finds it amusing how the big bad Harley riding MC types won't acknowledge her existence as a rider....)

She's definitely giving me a run for my money on my pitiful map! (And most of the ones I have that she doesn't, she rode pillion through!)

It was good to see you both and good to hear you're home.

Serkle hint #1 -  InZane XXI is already being narrowed down and pursued.  It will be within 2,100 riding miles of InZane XX.

While 2100 miles doesn't limit the Serkle much, even that's not guaranteed at this point.

cooldude Very nice meeting you both Serk. Kali is a champ and I know you are proud of her being her dad and all but I am too! Talented young lady too, watching her with the color lights she was swinging like numehueks.  Shocked Impressed that she has learned to stick to her decision to not pushing her ability under the current conditions. It is a value to know your limits under the summer heat. Glad you guys made it home safely.  coolsmiley

2100 miles puts it in Butt MN and Las Vegas NV as a estimate of the range. Looks do able from home. Good start, now waiting on the Serkles.  cooldude

Within 2100 miles of XX means it can be anywhere from 5 to 2100 miles. Any distance up to the max mentioned is "within 2100" miles. Regardless, Lord willing I'll be there.  cooldude

I had to get a little creative to make the first Serkle, but felt obligated to at least give it a stab.

2100 miles (Maybe) riding distance of Inzane XX is all we've got to go on. Possibly.

The mapping tool I used to use that would let me plot a radius of driving distances from a point no longer exists.

I got creative, used an 8 year old mapping program from Microsoft that allows you to draw a radius based on driving time, but not miles.

2100 miles, assuming an average of 70 MPH works out to 1800 minutes.

So I had the tool plot how far one could ride (With so many assumptions it sounds like a political speech) in 1800 minutes and got this:

It ain't much, or rather it's TOO much, but it's what we've got for now.....

(And when/if we get something meatier to go on I'll start or get into a new thread but didn't think the topic justified its own thread just yet...)

Regina and Winnipeg are in consideration - make sure you have lots of rubber in the middle of your tires' tread!  The day ride maps could be easily drawn with an Etch A Sketch.  Grin

I can help you out, Brian.  Canada has been ruled out as we'd lose too many folks due to gun laws on crossing from U.S. to Canada.  Mexico has pretty well been ruled out because, well, just because.   Smiley

Yes, but one can dream, till one wakes up.  Grin

I do realize that up to 2100 miles, doesn't mean that it will be.

I didn't make last years, and it was do able. I should have taken the offer of the loan of a bike, but even when the wife saves "sure honey, you can go on a 4 day MC ride while we're all on our vacation with the family, it's all right", one must make the right decision and decide that, "no honey, I'll stay right here with  you and the family, sitting around the mall benches waiting on you to come out of the store after spending more money on things you don't need".   Embarrassed

Serk,  is that an air horn directly behind the key ignition switch area on that drawing?

Did she go outside and draw it based upon your bike?

You have an artist in the family as well I see!   Wink

It's a cheap car horn I got at an auto parts store when my 3rd or 4th air horn compressor died on me and I decided to stop fighting with 'em...

She based the drawing/painting on an old pic of my Standard that she found on my website:
