A couple of N.J. gym owners fighting back

These guys made some news headlines a couple months ago and have not stopped fighting back.

I watched part of the interview. He said over 360,000 people were in his gym and not a single sickness.

Under Phase 2 which for out county went to effect over a month ago, we, users of gyms, had to wear mask when coming into/out the door, But didn't have to wear them while actually working out.   Because of slow increasing number of Virus folks, our Governor  decide that we had to wear mask while actually working out.  Hard to breath while moving iron or using treadmills.   Our gym owner told us that we could pull down the mask while doing heavy exercise or aerobic type exercise.   Not sure  she ever workout a day in her life.   But we are still able to go workout, even though we are touching our mask lots of times, which is suppose to be a NO NO.

When a simple solution could be found if the owners of the gym and representatives of the state health dept got together or worked together not just for these owners but as a whole, but no King Murphy and his guard dog AG want supreme rule.

my kid goes to his gym and asks the owners about masks.  They do not care but kid brings one with him just in case someone goes viral over it and complains.  So far no issues and he goes 3-4x's per week lifting heavy weights. 

I feel bad for all the businesses unable to function or make a living has to be millions of businesses going down the tubes.

Only thing I think could have worked to greatly reduce covid but would not have worked is from the very beginning make EVERY single American stay inside on lockdown for 3 weeks or get put in jail.  Not like anyone would go with that either seeing as how all the nutso's go crazy about just mask usage.

One of the gym owners, Ian Smith, sat in the council chamber, along with a half dozen police officers and 10 members of the public allowed to attend in seats spaced 6-feet apart.“

I hope there’s a way for them to fight this decision.

I'd like to see tham do that, but, wonder if they can. I'm thinking the members are protected, but, would like to the notice go thru. I'm a firm believer that everyone should be responsible for their actions regardless of job/position.

Yes he should sue the Board and the members individually - even if they are protected for enough to bankrupt that government. In the meantime - Open the gym anyway, and when the stooges of Murphy come to close him down - meet fire with fire. Since they took his business license, he is no longer under any obligation to follow any of their regulations.

I like that line of thinking.  I'd like to see them fight this to the end. It would be great to have some lawyer expert in this type of matter come forth. For so long we tend to act as fine Americans and conform just because the government enemy is bigger then we are.
