Dear Friends

My Christmas greeting to all of you this year is a bit different.

In stead of merry-looking Santa’s and flying reindeers, I thought I should include something which for me is synonymous with Christmas and which may be enjoyed several times throughout the Holidays and also after.

And as smells and aroma are still doing rather poorly in the electronic communication media it had to be something else, and of course I ended up with music.

So, below you find four links to youtube and to some fabulous pieces of my favourite Christmas music. Therefore, if your PC has some sort of a sound system and the opportunity is there, allow yourself a break, follow the links and enjoy.

I wish you all a peaceful Holiday season in the company of your loved ones, and all the best for the year to come!!!

Deilig er jorden – Oslo Gospel Choir – My absolute favourite Christmas carol, bringing back all the nice childhood memories:
Deilig er Jordenpowered by Aeva

O helga natt (Oh Holy Night) – Jussi Bjørling – Swedish performer, my favourite:
Jussi Bjorling-O helga natt.powered by Aeva

or Joan Baez’s marvellous version of the same: Cantique de Noel (poor recording):
JOAN BAEZ "Cantique de Noel"powered by Aeva

and finally:
Holy City Jerusalem - Mahalia Jackson – Superb music – Fabulous performance:
Mahalia Jackson - The holy citypowered by Aeva

Merry Christmas Valk folks! I hope everyone survived alright!

Anybody else get a Christmas Day ride in? The ice on the bridges made for the highest speed single track riding I have ever experienced. The part I had not figured on was dodging the icebergs that where coming off the cars. Wouldn't recommend the experience having survived to tell the story.

Happy New Year! ~Jeff
