Let myself be sucked into Aliens nickname thread. But what’s the point, it’s just another how can I make myself feel better by bashing someone else. I’m confident enough that Trump will prevail in the final outcome that I’m going to reserve commenting on political posts until after the election. Since we are all Americans first (right?) I have no desire to argue with other members about nicknames or other trivia. No more tit for tat for me but I’m sure I will be reading them for entertainment purposes.

I agree with you f6john. I had written a post in response to one of the threads this person started and almost was ready to hit "Post" when it dawned on me, for the third of fourth time, the person is a "pot stirrer" and does not deserve a measured or meaningful response. It is not the intent of the thread.
The intent is to stir the pot, create chaos, and maybe even cause an untoward reaction.
I tend to skip over any post started by this person because I know the intent of the post is never to inform or to have a meaningful dialogue.

I responded. But I don’t think I bashed Alien. I stood up for Trump. I don’t feel better or worse. I’ve learned by the school of hard knocks to keep feelings out of posts in here.

I don’t think it’s wrong to reply to these threads if you have something to say. Also I have to assume Alien needs the release for his anxiety since he has already posted he will not be casting a vote for Trump. In another thread I was called a name that could be considered a compliment but was sarcasm by a member who keeps telling us we are childish for supporting a man who uses nicknames or labels for people. |

If I showed you a list of what each party had planned for the country, and you didn't know which party was attached to which, and had no prior knowledge of any candidate.. you'd look at the dem plan and likely say they were absolutely insane, and un-American. You'd best think long and hard as to what impact this election will have on the world, if dems bring down this country, the world will be enslaved.
