Never been a big fan of pro sports. Not much for college either.
The latest in your face political efforts by the sport world doesn't change my mind about pro sports.
I do find it comical that they are playing in front of cardboard fans and zoom fans. If it wasn't for TV they'd be toast.

so when in your childhood did u decide u wanted to be an outcast? you choose to use the name "Alien" 3. A person who is not included in a group; an outsider. Jeremiah 30:17 ESV / 58 helpful votes For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast or are u just a natural sinful instigator? Titus 3:10-11 As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. It was a joke, hence the laughing emoticons. What's wrong with you? what's wrong with me? depends who u talk to, but lets not divert from you answering the questions I asked you. You want answers? OK. A. I have never been an outcast. Alien and the Mothership were nicknames that my bike and I were given. B. I try not to sin but I fall short, as do we all. Dude, it was a joke. Take your meds, ok?

Obviously, you can watch if you like. I used to be a big football fan. My beef is with the NFL for allowing this behavior.
The NFL opened its season by honoring the "Black National Anthem" and disrespecting the Star-Spangled Banner. The Texans players refused to take the field for either song. Most of the Chiefs players stood for the Star-Spangled Banner (at least one player took a knee and thrust his fist into the air). However, the entire team stood at attention for the "Black National Anthem."
Before the start of the game the spectators were told to stand for a moment of silence and racial equality. Instead, many in the crowd booed.
I will not support the NFL until they stop allowing their employees to disrespect our flag and those who fought to protect what it represents.
I missed the first 3 quarters. Did they play the "Black National Anthem" (which I wasn't aware their was one) instead of the Star Bangled Banner ? AFL ? I'm going from memory, but I think they have been merged into the NFL (AFC & NFC) since the late 60's ? They booed racial equality ? Sorry, my mistake, meant NFL (AFC and NFC). Fixed it. They played the "Black National Anthem" first and then the Star Spangled (not Bangled) Banner. I don't know where I came up with bangled. Perhaps the same place I came up with AFL.

While I used to be a MAJOR NFL fan, I now flatly refuse to watch any professional sports at all. In fact, nothing would make me happier (Other than Conservatives sweeping the House, Senate as well as the Presidency this November) than to witness the complete collapse of ALL professional sports here in the U.S.
In fact, not only am I completely boycotting ALL professional sports, I now make a concerted effort to boycott their sponsors as well whenever possible.
When I'm your way I'd like to buy you a beer Golf is a great sport by the way. I'm in agreememt with your outlook or optimism of our election. Well, as long as it's not one of those beers that they advertise during NBA, NFL, or MLB games, you're on! Can't say I've ever been much for watching golf, but it can grow on me.... Used to enjoy playing, but I really sucked at it. Golf? To each their own I guess. When I drive or ride by a golf course, I always think to myself, what a waste of good soil. There could be a lot of agricultural use there, cattle grazing, crops planted, what ever........... Yes, I tried the game, it simply wasn't for me. It takes a tremendous amount of time, practice and dollars to be good at it. I'm of a competitive nature and want to be good at whatever I do. I simply don't have the time or money to be competitive at golf. But, I can raise crops or cattle on that same land. I also have friends that enjoy watching golf on television. Talk about a sport that will put me to sleep.............. Thinking they need to add cheerleaders or something. I'm not knocking the sport, it's just not for me. Rams

I'm going from memory, but I think they have been merged into the NFL (AFC & NFC) since the late 60's ? They booed racial equality ? I did not see the beginning of the game. I'm told they played the "black national anthem" and then the Star Spangled Banner. The Houston team stood in the end zone for the black anthem but returned to the locker room for the Star Spangled Banner. The crowd began booing as the Houston team returned to the field after the U.S. national anthem. I too am confused about the black national anthem. Where is their nation? Who is their president and legislators? Where is their territory? The "racial equality" card has been played to the level of ridiculousness. Before the game I suppose we should also play an American Indian national anthem, a Samoan national anthem, and who knows what else? Kansas Cityans believed more than ever that the Houston team deserved to lose. It would seem you are not alone in your thoughts. Interesting view point. I tend to agree with Officer Tatum. Rams

I find it humorous a football post can turn political... It was Kapernik and the players that turned the NFL political.

Bob, I realize some folks don't give a damn but, many of us saw Kaepernick's action as disrespecting the flag, as close to burning one as you can get with out a match. While you may not agree, it's not bullshit. Kaepernick could have done many things with his fame and fortune that would not have set this issue on fire. He did what he did and according the courts, he had that right but, that doesn't mean we have to accept it. President Bush took the same position many here believe in. Kaepernick was wrong in his actions so, I guess we're all full of bull poop. At least from what appears to be your perspective. Rams

Rams You're aware that it was a serviceman that suggested he kneel instead of sitting on the bench. I completely understand how many people feel about his method. I don't agree, but I can understand it. My problem with the earlier statement was that it's not true. Not even close. The WH threw it out there and pounded it constantly, just red meat for his supporters. He made it political, day after day after day. People are entitled to their own opinions, not their own facts.

While I would agree that it's disrespectful to the flag. There are TONS of other things that would be more disrespectful.
