Thanks.   cooldude

I used to go to the LA County Fairgrounds (Pomona) car shows (and sales) all the time back in the '80s.

Sun mornings, a little (affluent) town near me has little impromptu shows (cars and bikes), but I've never made it.

We have a Cars N Coffee in Lexington once a month and I have been in the area for some time now but still haven’t made the 20 minute drive over there. I do get to see some Facebook pics every month but I hope next year to have more me time.

What I had was a '70 Triumph Spitfire.

In a few months, what I wanted was anything else at all... even this 62' Falcon would have been an improvement.   Grin

I agree the Spitfire was a POS.

Its kind of funny you put the pic of that car, since someone gave me one of those in a station wagon. I was going to drop in a 351 or a 289.

I drove the TR6 from NY to Canada and back.

Yes, I lived in NY for a good number of years, on Long Island.

Good pictures.  I grew up in my Dad's MGB and I've had a few B's too.  My dream roadster would be an MGA with a built MGB engine, black with an oxblood interior.

That just struck me as a little funny. Its not a long trip so I didn't quite know what you were referring to.

I once drove a Mini-Cooper [ original] from upstate NY to south Florida and back once. Once was enough ! Same with a motorbike trip from coast to coast to coast.

My first was a '48 Ford which I think I've talked about here. The next was a '60 bug-eye. I bought it wrecked and fixing the front I found a cracked timing case, so, I had a 225HP 289 with a C4  just sitting around waiting to be put in something. That little car was that something.
