Remington's sales did fall markedly last year, tumbling to $603m - about half what the firm netted in 2013 . It takes a strong company with capital and sales behind it to survive. You can only add so much on the price of an item to compensate the losses. No one gets rid of a strong company either. So while you can read you dont have the whole story. You can only borrow for so long to compensate for expenses and lack of profitability for what ever causes the company not to be profitable.

FYI the article was written with the idea that the gun culture is strong also, putting a slant on the article from those looking to pierce what they perceive as an impregnable fortress.
