For the first time, I checked my VA in-person, election day ballot, later in the evening.

I don't know how long that has been possible here, but I was on the official VA voting website on and off election night, and just stumbled on the link to checking.

It appears that Davemn and meathead are both wrong.  I'd like to tell you how unusual that is but ...   Wink
If there is a way to check online an in-person vote, I can't figure it out. All I can find is to check a mail in/early vote. (Which I have done several times since turning mine in) and also a check your provisional vote. Which I didn't click being that I hadn't voted provisionally. If you can guide me to the correct spot I'd appreciate it.  Smiley

For the record, I've been wrong plenty of times. I can't speak for Dave. I do believe I can vouch for you being wrong many times also.

1. Click on the top link, "Search for my voter registration."

2. Follow the prompts and continue through the pages.

3. On the third page, look for "My Voting History" in the menu on the left-hand side. Click on that link and it will display the election (for example, 2020 general) and the method you used to vote — at a polling place, by early ballot.

I didn't know you could check an in-person vote ? Is it possible she forgot that she did a mail in vote, and then voted on Election Day ? That's the only way I can see you could check. When you do the in person and you feed it thru the machine, it either accepts it or not.

Anyone can check the status of their vote.

You are not correct.
Meathead is correct however.

If you say so.

Thanks  cooldude that is very interesting. But it doesn't tell you the status of your vote. Just that you voted and when.

I think if your vote is invalidated or canceled it shows that under vote type.

Just curious... how far back did your history go?  Mine only went back to 1998.

Just curious... how far back did your history go?  Mine only went back to 1998.
Mine went to 2005. I moved here in 2001. It may be wrong. It said my 2005 vote was a special local school election. I don't remember doing that. I never vote in primaries or special elections. It also didn't log my 2004 election. But everything else looks pretty accurate. It's pretty cool. I would have never found that otherwise. Thanks  cooldude
