Excessive comfort breeds weakness. PttP

Mama and I are spending Thanksgiving week in central Arkansas, Fairfield Bay.

Honestly it's a bit disappointing driving around on these curving hilly roads in a four wheeler, but it is a Honda.  This would be a fine area for a motorcyclist to live in.  There's a nice retirees' community just across the street from where we're staying.  But it would be moving away from the children and younger people I love so that won't happen.  One of the retiree's house had an open garage displaying a two wheeler.  But it was a V twin. And it would be moving away from the younger people and children that I love.

Sometimes life just shows you for a moment what you won't have.  I hope the election goes that way.  It's really not all about but largely about the children and the younger people I love.

As we walked into the unit there was a family form Florida packing their car.  A lady commented to me that she just couldn't take anymore of this cold.  I wiped the sweat off my forehead in acknowledgement.

It's been a good week so far but it's too bad we came down here in the four wheeler.

Apparently not people from Virginia.

List of people not qualified to question my choice of location:

Jess from Virginia

There are parts of Arkansas that I really like and then there are those areas I wouldn't live in if someone gave me the property.   But, that's true of every state, (Well, most states).

If I ever move again, Arkansas will be on my list to consider.   But, Mississippi has very favorable taxes for retirees so, I'm planning on stay'n right where I am.   At least for now.   Wink
