He didn' seem to get that I was talking to him about the 1800 Valkyrie.

He kept telling me he'd done a lot of work for Valkyrie owners over the years.

Also said if I went to see him he'd make holes in the rack as needed so I could fit my trunk mounting plate.

If you buy the attachment kit I believe you can mount many different kinds of rear racks on it. Since it seems to be pretty much a standard mounting. Dont take it for sure, but when I was looking for mine, i went and measured them and many seemed to fit especially anyone of the OEM ones made for Honda. The upright mounting and position seems to be fairly common.
