Good talk ! It expresses it well, clearly, and in language that almost everybody (who understands English) should be able to understand. I sincerely hope it goes viral as well, because the WHOLE country needs to hear it and LISTEN to it and what it is saying.

I may not agree with what you are saying but I will defend your right to say it!We were ALL familiarized with this saying when we were in school. I clearly remember the importance placed on it back then as we were presented with it numerous times over the course of our public and private school careers. What happened to this? I lost 2 facebook "friends" because I stated that the KKK or Neo-Nazi's or Al Shartpton all have the same right as the girls scouts to peacfully assemble and say whatever they want. I then stated, but nobody has to listen. If nobody shows up to hear their garbage, did they really say anything at all ? ? ? If a tree falls and nobody is around............

Our nation is on a slippery trajectory of censorship at all levels of society, next step is we'll be imprisoning people for speech crimes.. and/or worse yet, thought crimes. Only very bad things come from the suppression of dialogue.

Very well said Oss! The 2nd Amendment has been under attack for years. They've gone after the 2nd Amendment because without it the citizenry has no power to protect any of the others. Now, they are blatantly coming for the 1st Amendment. Once 1 & 2 are gone none of the others matter. |

So true! That it is happening at all in this land is disconcerting! That so many do not see the erosion or peril is even more alarming to this observer! You echo so eloquently what any of the 'founding fathers' would have considered so basic that it barely needed statement.
When 'winning' replaces 'doing the right thing' as a driving force, unfortunately, just about any basic truth, wise concept, right or righteous thing will become a casualty in time... Freedom works against control... Controlling, therefore, requires the nullification of freedoms... I pray that we are not actually 'Sheepeople' as many have described us. I fear my prayer might be entirely necessary! Thanks for the clarity of your thoughts and speech... and for the timeliness!

Some schmuck that broke into the capitol was wearing a Camp Auschwitz t-shirt which was caught on camera so now ALL of Trump's supporters are Nazis and white supremacists. It really is insanity. |
