Good evening Ron,
I was in Jackson today and rode down to Brookhaven. As I was exiting 55 south I look to the right and see a Honda distributor.  Shocked What caught my eye was a Red/Black tourer w/ trunk in the parking lot. So yes, I pulled off and made way to the parking lot. Nice really youngman inside said I just missed the owner as it was dropped off for service. Undecided  Any one you know? I was hoping the owner was there to make sure he knew about MS Madness. I know it wasn't you or Charlie.  coolsmiley

I wish I knew who that was but, honestly can't say I do.   But, if you can give me the name of the dealership, I'll try to track him and any other Valkyrie rider down.   I still believe you meet the nicest people on a Honda.   cooldude

Wink That is easy! It's Brookhaven Honda. Nice Red/Black Tourer as I stated w/ a off brand trunk. It had over 60k if I remember correctly uglystupid2 Good luck....

BTW, did I happen to mention there's a Class 6/Package/Liquor Store just around the corner.   There's also a gas/convenience station on at the entrance to the hotel street and a Hooter's and an Outback just across the parking lot from the hotel for those who wish to get something to drink or eat.

This hotel was picked mostly due to it's location, adjacent options and the fact that they offered a better discount than the other options.  All within stumbling walking distance.  Wink

Ron,

Casting a broad net, I see... Clever, too! Ya never know what might show up as things unfold, so... Nice work by you and Keith! Last summer a couple of 'pick-up' 'non-Valk' riders wound-up as part of our motely crew at the Yooper thing, and our experience was the better for it!

I'm still very much looking forward to showing up and seeing what all I never could have anticipated will surely surface and delight us... You and the crew have done what appears to this observer to be a fabulous job of providing the rest of us with a near perfect excuse for another 'ride to adventure'. See y'all soon...

DDT

P.S. Probably a good idea NOT to inform the local fuzz honcho on the composition of the group... especially concerning a couple of the individuals included in that mix...

Ron,

I called Nick and left a voicemail, then I called Wayne and confirmed OK-ness with him... All good, so just waiting to hear back from Nick. Thanks for looking out for all concerned!

Ron,

Nick called me back... He's stuck with his room for a couple of reasons, primarily the fact it is non-refundable room he booked at the Comfort Suites... So, Wayne still has a 'vacancy'. I also called Wayne back, so both of them are aware of the situation, therefore... back to you, amigo...

I celebrated the first Mississippi Madness by wrenching on my bike. Pulling the rear wheel and punkin’ for servicing. I’m sure the fellowship was awesome. Everyone be safe on the rides today and the return trips home.

Apparently, an apology is in order.   Heard some complaints about the hotel.   Will address with the manager and let him know why we won't be back.
There are always other options.

Rams

No apology required. No one could have known their maintenance staff was quarantined kindergartners. It was a fun trip and a good time was had by all. Anything said to the contrary is a lie and we know those were flying rampant. Lol

Honestly, I was so busy Meeting and Greeting, I have no idea exactly how many came but, the first page gives an idea of who was coming.   I'm guessing over 50 folks but, that's a guess.  Pretty sure it' almost accurate on who came.  There were a few local folks that showed up but weren't on that list.   I'm not even sure I met everyone but, it was a grand time and based on the comments will most likely happen again next year.

Reference pictures, I saw a few on MeWe but, since I don't know how to post pics here, I didn't bother taking any.   Besides that, this is a family forum and once seen, things can not be unseen (if you know what I mean).   Wink

Well now that you've joined in on the fun, what's the chances of seeing you at InZane?   Hope you make it there.   There you'll see about five or six times as many Valkyries and a whole lot of good folks.

I don't believe I witnessed anyone getting the Raccoon.   I saw a lot of folks eating BBQ'd something and several eating mudbugs (crawfish), some Shrimp, Ribs and several other dishes I'm not sure what they were.   Could have been Coon for all I know.   Next year you'll have to come on down and try it for yourself.

Looking at the Calendar, it's most likely to be scheduled for the weekend before Easter.  So now, you've got plenty of time for planning.  Wink
